The 52nd Canadian National Appaloosa Horse Show will be held July 28 - August 1, 2009, at the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba.  The National Show, hosted by the Appaloosa Horse Club of Canada (ApHCC), promises to be another great event and a huge success.   The show typically has 40 - 50% out of country exhibitors, with participants coming from 14 states and five provinces, including visitors and exhibitors from Europe that generate an estimated $3 million for the local economy!
 
As an annual supporter of the ApHCC National Show, NAERIC is proud to participate again this year as the Youth Team Tournament Sponsor.   Other features of this year's show include the Iron Horse Challenge, Yearling Challenge and the crowning of National Class Champions in over 150 events, as well as the annual Great Canadian Appaloosa Sale featuring top Appaloosa horses for sale held Friday, July 31st.

Featuring no less than 300 competitors in many divisions including the
NAERIC-sponsored Youth Division

 
NAERIC is participating as the 2009 Platinum sponsor of the Manitoba Barrel Racing Association (MBRA) Final's Youth Division, in which three trophy saddles with the NAERIC logo engraved on the fenders will be awarded to each of the NAERIC Youth Division winners.   In addition, the high-money earning NAERIC horse for Youth Division and Open Division during the MBRA Finals will receive recognition and an award at the awards luncheon. The MBRA will also, on behalf of NAERIC, host an added-money Youth jackpot in conjunction with the Hamiota Rodeo.
 
Every year at the end of August, the MBRA finishes off the season with an annual finals competition and banquet.  MBRA members work hard all year attending jackpots and practicing, with the goal of winning a year-end saddle and prizes always on their mind.  The 2009 MBRA Finals expects no less than 300 competitors, along with their families and friends to cheer them on!

About the MBRA
 
The Manitoba Barrel Racing Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of barrel racing in the province of Manitoba. 3D and 4D barrel racing jackpot events give riders and barrel horses of different ability and skill levels the opportunity to win cash and prizes in three or four divisions based on their running times.

Open Barrel Racing members must compete at a minimum of five sanctioned or co-sanctioned races to qualify for the Annual Manitoba Barrel Racing Finals.
