"Blue" was the pride and joy of the red and white flag, following his performance at the 2002 all American Quarter Horse Congress. Blueboy Dreamer, ridden by Tommy Sheets, won the Congress Championship in Junior Trail out of 59 entries. And the next morning his youth owner, Colin Luba of Louisville, Kentucky (who was age 13 at the time), rode Blue to win a Congress Reserve Championship in Novice Youth Trail, out of 98 entries. Following the 2002 Congress, Norm Luba (father to Colin) would say, "This is a storybook tale about a horse coming all the way from Brandon, Manitoba, to beat some of the nicest horses in the U.S. and win an Open Championship and a Reserve Novice Youth Championship at the Congress. We owe (breeder) Dennis Stiles a huge debt of gratitude for allowing us the opportunity to own and campaign Blue." Blue went on to become the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 AQHA High Point Canadian-bred Quarter Horse and win multiple Congress Championships. -30-
