Congratulations to Paul Tipsword!
Mr.Tipsword, who purchased a 2012 Ram 2500 diesel pickup, was the winner in our December giveaway at Dick Scott Motor Mall in Fowlerville.
The first 100 people who purchased a new or used vehicle from the Fowlerville dealership were automatically entered in the drawing. There were 90 entries during the month prior to the drawing. Entries in the giveaway were accepted from Dec. 5 to Jan. 3. General manager Jud Scott and sales associate Jeff Ruth presented Mr.Tipsword with his $5,000 check.

Congratulations to the MacDermid Family! Dr. MacDermid, who purchased a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country from Larry Welsh, was the winner in the December giveaway at Dick Scott Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. The first 150 people who purchased a new or used vehicle from the Plymouth dealership were automatically entered in the drawing. We had exactly 150 entries during the month prior to the drawing. Dealer Concepts, a leader in providing innovative customer retention and marketing programs, today announced its partnership with Dick Scott Automotive Group of Plymouth, Mich., to provide full-scale QR-code promotions at each of its dealer locations. QR codes are a visual representation of a website address, YouTube video, Google Map, vCard, or links to social-media sites. Dick Scott Automotive Group is one of Michigan's first dealers to support this technology with a full-marketing campaign. Each Dick Scott location will feature banners, loyalty cards, T-shirts, and cut-out displays featuring their custom QR code. The dealership also plans to display a 10×10 QR code outside its Plymouth location. The QR codes will direct consumers back to Dick Scott's website for the latest offers and promotions. "Since 70 percent of all phones sold today are Smart Phones, it makes good business sense for us to embrace this technology," said Nichole Scott, director of operations, Dick Scott Automotive. "Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our customers to have access to the latest discounts and specials. QR codes are the perfect solution. We are very excited about this promotion and committed to making it a success." Dick Scott selected marketing and retention leader Dealer Concepts as their partner for this project. Dealer Concepts recently launched QR-etention® - a program that generates custom QR codes for automotive dealers. QR codes can be featured on any marketing item, including Dealer Concepts' award-winning loyalty key tag. The goal of the program is drive consumers to the dealer's website to help generate more leads, sales, service appointments and eventually more profits. "Most dealers who use this technology just adapt black and white QR codes," said Andy Wolfe, managing partner, Dealer Concepts. This month's tip is pretty simple and obvious. But if you have ever been out on the road you know that it can happen! In fact I just saw someone driving with their gas cap off yesterday!
So with that said, here is this month's tip......
Check your gas cap! Damaged, loose or missing gas caps allow
gas to vaporize into the air. This simple check will save on gas without you needing to change your driving habits.

Mike Zimnicki, Sales Consultant Mike Zimnicki is one of our Motorcycle Sales Consultant and has been in the automotive industry for 50 years. He is one of our Sales Consultants at Dick Scott Classic Motorcycles! Mikes favorite part of working for Dick Scott is his co-workers and the great customers, the dealership atmosphere and of course the bikes!
Mike attended Henry Ford Community College and now lives in Dearborn with his wonderful wife of 29 years and his dog, Brock. He is a father of 4, 1 daughter and 3 sons, and is a proud grandfather of 7, 3 girls and 4 boys. Mike is a US Army Veteran, and is retired from Ford Motor Company after 38 years. In his spare time Mike enjoys spending time with his family, motorcycling, martial arts, weapons and billiards. He is also a Lector at his Parish. His favorites are: Movie - James Bond Series; Food - Seafood; Book - The Bible. Currently Mike rides his 2003 Harley-Davidson Road Glide; he also owns a 1993 Ford Mustang LX Convertible and a 1997 F150. He dreams of someday owning a Shelby Cobra. He is looking forward to a long rewarding career with Dick Scott's Classic Motorcycles!

| Recipe Of The Month |
 | Corned Beef & Cabbage for St. Patty's Day! |
Ingredients:
3lb. corned beef brisket 1small onion, chopped 2cloves garlic, minced 2 bay leaves1cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup 1/2 cup yellow mustard 1Tbsp. Prepared Horseradish 1head cabbage, cut into wedges
Instructions: PLACE meat in large saucepan; top with onions, garlic and bay leaves. Add enough water to cover all ingredients; cover with lid. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 1 hour. Drain, reserving meat in pan. Remove and discard bay leaves.
ADD enough fresh water to saucepan to cover meat; cover with lid. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender.
HEAT oven to 350ºF. Remove meat from pan, reserving liquid in pan; place meat in shallow baking pan. Mix syrup, mustard and horseradish; spoon half over meat. Reserve remaining syrup mixture for brushing onto cooked meat.
BAKE 20 min., brushing frequently with remaining syrup mixture. Meanwhile, add cabbage to reserved liquid in saucepan; cook 8 to 10 min. or until tender.
PLACE meat on platter; drizzle with pan drippings. Serve with cabbage.
