Dick Scott Collision and Auto Glass is Sponsoring a Community-Wide Food Pantry Drive for the
Family Impact Center - Fowlerville, MI
from August 1st to August 31st Donations can be dropped off between 8am and 6pm
Monday - Friday at Dick Scott Collision Center,
which is located at 3030 Fowlerville Road, Fowlerville MI. 48836 Family Impact Center is a Christian-based organization that began serving those in need in March of 2002. They have worked hand in hand with local communities to help bring restoration to individuals and families in need by offering the following programs: - Client-Choice Food Pantry - Educational Resources - Counseling Services - Mentoring Program
-Support Groups More families request assistance from Family Impact Center during summer months because their children are not in school and, therefore, are not receiving free lunches. Consequently, the need to keep the Pantry's shelves replenished is greater than usual. In addition, donations from food drives done by schools and other organizations are much lower in the summer. So, join us to help stock the Food pantry at Family Impact Center, our local organization for individuals and families in need! Items MOST Needed: Canned fruit, fruit juice & juice boxes Canned meat (such as tuna or chicken) Canned vegetables Cleaning supplies, including detergent Meat meals, including complete meals Paper products Peanut butter & jelly Personal products Soups: chunky, regular & Ramen Noodles

Auto Tip of the Month

With School starting up soon I thought it would be a good time
to throw in a little school bus safety tip this month!
Now is a good time to remind kids........
After they exit the bus, NEVER walk behind it. If they have to walk in front of the bus, walk on the sidewalk next to the bus for at least 10 feet, AND make sure that the driver sees them, then cross. If they drop something while crossing the street, they should never bend down to pick it up - the bus driver might not see them. Instead, have them get the drivers attention to tell the driver they dropped something.

Cathy Harris, Payroll Administrator
Cathy is the Payroll Administrator at Dick Scott Automotive Group. She has been with Dick Scott for 5 years now and has worked in the auto industry for over 16 years. She attended Wayne Memorial High School and Henry Ford Community College and now lives in Westland with her husband of 23 years, Doug, and their three daughters: Jessica, Karilyne and Allison.
Cathy's favorite part of working for Dick Scott is getting to interact with all the many employees at all the different locations. She feels very privileged to get to work with so many great people. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, family game night and getting to spend time with friends. She has two cats, Norman and Jodie, and a fish named Phineas. Her favorites are? food: pizza; favorite Author: Iris Johansen; favorite genre: Mystery-Suspense. Cathy drives a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country. Cathy is this month's Spotlight Employee for all her hard work and commitment to perfection. Both of these attributes make her a great Payroll Administrator and we are grateful to have her! Thank you Cathy for all that you do; you are an important member of the Dick Scott "Best Shot" Team.

Remember, as a participant of our program, your organization will receive directions on how to print donation vouchers. Participants will, in turn, present them at any Dick Scott Dealership location when they purchase/lease a new or pre-owned car, truck or bike.
At the end of each month, your organization will receive
$100 for every voucher redeemed!

Chicken-Penne Florentine Bake
|
What You Need
2 cups multi-grain penne pasta, uncooked
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. Sun Dried Tomato Vinaigrette Dressing
1 cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 oz. (1/4 of 8-oz. pkg.) Neufchatel Cheese, cubed
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
2 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan Cheese
Make It
HEAT oven to 375ºF.
COOK pasta as directed on package.
MEANWHILE, toss chicken with flour. Heat dressing in large skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 3 min. or just until evenly browned. Add broth and Neufchatel; cook 3 min. or until Neufchatel is melted, stirring frequently. Stir in spinach.
DRAIN pasta. Add to chicken mixture; mix lightly. Spoon half into 2-qt. casserole; top with 1/2 cup mozzarella. Repeat layers; sprinkle with Parmesan.
BAKE 16 to 18 min. or until casserole is heated through and mozzarella is melted.
