Chrysler Group LLC announced that the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has received a Top Safety Pick award by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This is the highest rating the organization bestows.
The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee joins the 2010 Dodge Journey, 2010 Dodge Avenger, 2010 Chrysler Sebring, and the 2010 Jeep Patriot as 2010 Top Safety Picks, according to IIHS.
The all-new 2011 Grand Cherokee provides consumers with enhanced safety and security, in addition to legendary Jeep capability and a premium driving experience. With more than 45 different safety and security systems working in harmony - including Electronic Stability Control, Electronic Roll Mitigation, Active Head Restraints, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and a Blind-Spot/Rear Cross-path detection system - the new Jeep Grand Cherokee will allow customers to benefit from a new level of protection, on- and off-road.
Chrysler Group vehicles represent more than 20 percent of the total mid-size SUVs awarded Top Safety Pick status by IIHS to automakers and more than 12 percent of the overall Top Safety Picks in all segments. The awards recognize automobiles with ESC that perform well in the Institute's front-impact, side-impact, rear-impact and new for 2010, roof-strength evaluations.
Vehicles that earn "Top Safety Pick" meet the highest standards for crash test performance. This award means that buyers of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee are getting state-of-the-art safety for the best protection in the most common kinds of crashes, and electronic stability control, which research shows can help prevent crashes altogether.

Trudy Gross, Dick Scott Motormall Receptionist/Cashier
Trudy has been in the automotive industry for 12 Years and has been with Dick Scott for 2 years. She currently works as Receptionist/Cashier at our Fowlerville Location, Dick Scott Motormall. The thing she likes best about her job is her wonderful Co-workers (and the fact that the dealership is close to her home in Fowlerville)!
Trudy enjoys spending her free time with her family & friends and she also likes to play softball. Her special talent is "trying to make a difference in someone's day." One of her favorite foods is pasta; her favorite movies are the Notebook, the Blind Side and Message in a Bottle; her favorite author is Daniel Steele. She has been Married for 14 years; her husband and two sons are the most important people in her life. Trudy's son Ryan is in 8th grade and is a 4.0 student working on becoming an Eagle Scout. Her youngest son, Kyle, is in the 6th grade and is also active with Boy Scouts. Trudy's objective in life is to get everyone where they need to be and keep everyone healthy!
Trudy is this month's Spotlight Employee because of her dedication and attention to detail, along with her kind heart and positive attitude. Thanks Trudy for all that you do, you are an important member of the Dick Scott "Best Shot" Team! |
| Recipe Of The Month | |
Cheesy Jack-O'-Lantern
Ingredients:
3 green onions, divided
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) Cream Cheese, softened
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided
1/4 cup finely chopped red peppers
2 slices pepperoni
Directions:
First Cut 4-inch length from green end of 1 onion; slice remaining onions. Beat cream cheese and 1-1/4 cups Cheddar with mixer until well blended. Stir in sliced onions and peppers. Refrigerate 1 hour.
After refrigerated for 1 hour shape into ball; roll in remaining Cheddar. Cut pepperoni into shapes for the jack-o'-lantern's eyes, nose and mouth; press into cheese ball to make face. Insert green onion piece into top for stem.
SERVE with Crackers.
