The car allowance rebate system, also know as CARS, is a Federal Program that helps you purchase a new, more fuel efficient vehicle at a participating dealer when you trade in a less fuel efficient vehicle. The government program allows for credits of $3500 - $4500 to help facilitate the purchase or lease. Complete rules may be found at http://cars.gov.
In order to receive this rebate your vehicle must qualify first. Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date, and in the case of a category 3 vehicle, must also have been manufactured not later than model year 2001. It must have a "new" combined city/highway fuel economy of 18 miles per gallon or less, be in drivable condition and have been continuously insured and registered to the same owner for the full year preceding the trade-in.
(*Very large pickup trucks and cargo vans have different requirements.)

Shannon Holcomb, Internet Sales Manager at Dick Scott Motormall
Shannon has been in the automotive industry for 8 years, all of which have been with Dick Scott. She is the Internet Sales Manager for Dick Scott Motormall in Fowlerville. Shannon graduated from Pinckney High School and now lives in Brighton. She has a Doberman named Nika and enjoys spending lots of time outdoors.
Shannon enjoys meeting new people and has an opportunity to do so daily working for Dick Scott. In her free time she loves to be outdoors. As she lives near several lakes, she spends a lot of time boating. Her favorite movie is Pride & Prejudice and her favorite book is Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult.
Currently, Shannon drives a Dodge Avenger; she doesn't have a dream vehicle yet. Shannon Holcomb is this month's Spotlight Employee for all her hard work and dedication she puts into helping customers every day. Orange BBQ Chicken with Grilled Vegetables
Prep Time:15 min, Total Time: 33 min, Makes: 2 servings
What You Need!
1/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
1/4 tsp. grated orange zest
1 Tbsp. fresh orange juice
2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (about 1/2 lb.)
1 small zucchini, cut lengthwise in half
1 small yellow squash, cut lengthwise in half
1 medium red pepper, cut into quarters
2 Tbsp. KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing
Make It!
PREHEAT grill to medium heat. Mix barbecue sauce, orange zest and juice until well blended; set aside.
GRILL chicken 6 min., turning over after 3 min. Brush with barbecue sauce mixture.
ADD vegetables to grill. Continue grilling chicken and vegetables 9 to 12 min. or until chicken is cooked through (170ºF) and vegetables are tender, turning occasionally and brushing chicken with the remaining barbecue sauce mixture and vegetables with the dressing.

 Summer is here, but that's no reason to stop thinking about ways to help our schools! At Dick Scott Automotive Group we realize how important it is to find new and innovative ways to motivate parents and guardians to support their children's education. That's why we continue to remind you about Dick Scott Donation Vouchers, a new way to raise funds for your school. Remember, as a participant of our program, your organization will receive donation vouchers on a monthly or quarterly basis. The vouchers are for distribution to parent/guardians of students. Participants will, in turn, present them at any Dick Scott Dealership location when they purchase/lease a new or pre-owned car, truck or bike. At the end of each month, your organization will receive $100 for every voucher redeemed! Any costs associated with designing the artwork for your organization and printing the donation vouchers is absorbed by Dick Scott. Don't miss out on this opportunity to help a child! |
