Jacqueline Buston is a busy flight attendant who is on her feet for many hours at a time. So when she started to experience severe foot pain that was limiting her ability to stand for long stretches, she knew she had to do something about it.

For the second year in a row, the Birchmount topped all Toronto community hospitals for flu vaccination compliance, posting a rate nearly 84 per cent better than the median for acute care hospitals in the city.
The General campus ranked third among Toronto community hospitals, with a rate 51 per cent better than the median.
"These results are outstanding, and demonstrate the culture of patient safety we are instilling at The Scarborough Hospital," says Dr. John Wright, President and CEO. The Royal Canadian Legion's long history of support for The Scarborough Hospital Foundation continues with a generous donation of $10,000. Proceeds will help purchase equipment for The Scarborough Hospital's new Dialysis Transition Unit which recently opened to better serve patients with chronic kidney disease.
For more than 30 years, the Scarborough branches have given more than $112,000 to help the hospital purchase equipment, develop programs and fund construction costs. > MORE |
