What started out as a routine home dialysis consultation could have ended up much worse for Chronic Kidney Disease patient Mike Sun, if not for the sharp instincts and skills of Nurse Practitioner Paulette Lewis.
On the morning of March 16, as Mike was having the home dialysis consultation with Paulette at the hospital's Chronic Kidney Disease and Home Dialysis unit, she noticed that Mike did not look well. In our Maternal Newborn and Childcare program, we deliver nearly 5,000 babies each year, and provide a wide range of care for mothers, newborns and children.
