Building strong partnerships with groups and agencies throughout our community is an important way The Scarborough Hospital is working to embed a diversity and equity lens into every fabric of our institution. On November 24, the hospital made an important connection with residents in the Steeles L'Amoreaux area by participating in the community's Neighbourhood Action Partnership (NAP) Community Speak event.

Over the last two years, shortages of many prescription drugs have become a problem for patients, hospitals, physicians and pharmacists alike. However, thanks to sound inventory policies, cost-effective inventory management and leading edge technology, these shortages have had little effect on the drug supply for inpatients at The Scarborough Hospital.

Although millions of Canadians experience some form of incontinence on a daily basis, it's still a condition that is often misunderstood.

"There continues to be an enormous amount of stigma associated with incontinence and it can take a serious emotional toll on those living with the condition," said Dr. Nick Logarakis, Chief of Urology at The Scarborough Hospital.
