TSH is MY Scarborough Hospital

Greetings!

On May 28, The Scarborough Hospital and the Islamic Foundation of Toronto partnered to host an event for the Muslim community entitled "Caring for You, Caring for Our Community." Over 350 people were in attendance. The keynote speakers were Dr. John Wright, President & CEO of TSH, and Imam Yusuf Badat of the Islamic Foundation of Toronto. TSH organized both hospital and community information tables on a variety of services for newcomers, seniors, women, and those with specific health needs such as diabetes. The objective was to provide better access to both health and community services in Scarborough. Hospital presentations included commitment to the community, an overview of TSH programs, accessing services and family decision making.
Postal Strike affects donations

The Canada Post disruption and pending strike will affect the funds raised by TSH Foundation for urgently needed medical and surgical equipment. The Foundation's spring mail appeal would have generated approximately $60,000 - enough to purchase a new defibrillator to save people having a heart attack or a new incubator for sick babies. Please help us reach our goal. Visit the website to make a secure online donation, drop your donation at the cashier's office at either hospital campus or call 416.431.8130 to give today. You can help the hospital stay Equipped to Care! Your donations don't just purchase equipment for every department of the Birchmount and General campuses of The Scarborough Hospital, they help our healthcare team save lives.

Protect your skin
