Anonymous $3.1M gift largest in hospital's history A $3.1 million donation means better diagnosis and treatment of disease, injury and illness for patients of the Scarborough community. The anonymous donation supports the purchase of several pieces of urgently needed medical equipment, including a portion that completes the efforts to raise $2.6 million for two CT Scanners, one for each campus. The donation was made by a family whose members have been patients at the hospital over several years.

Hospital gleeks to perform for celebrity judges Global TV announced that Vanilla Ice, Jann Arden and Simple Plan's Pierre Bouvier will lead the all-important judging panel for the network's new original series, Canada Sings. These three well-respected and extremely talented judges are the perfect addition to a breakout series that taps into Canada's rich and diverse talent pool. ET Canada's Hollywood Correspondent, Matte Babel joins the judges as host, guiding the viewers and supporting the glee clubs as they go head-to-head. Former Leafs and Olympians help fundraise Former Toronto Maple Leafs players will be joined by Women's Olympic Hockey medalists at the 2nd Annual Scarborough World Cup of Hockey. They will lace up their skates to support The Scarborough Hospital in a one-day fundraising tournament on April 1, 2011.
