It's Time to Talk draws community out for eldercare forum Last Wednesday, The Scarborough Hospital hosted "Tough Transitions: Aging, Families and Eldercare," the first in our It's Time to Talk speakers' series designed to educate the public about important health-related topics. The response was overwhelming, with 100 attendees turning out to hear about the importance of substitute decision-makers, planning your geriatric future, making eldercare plans, and finding community support services. Many thanks to our own Debbie Driver, Scott Wisner and Moji Adurogbangba, along with Sandra Armstrong from the CCAC, for sharing their expertise with the audience; to Stephen Smith and Dr. John Wright for delivering the hospital's Town Hall update; and to Pauline Chan for being our event moderator. > MORE |
