There were very few dry eyes as Reservist Corporal Paul Morrison told of his experiences as a member of the party that accompanied the body of the 'Unknown Soldier' at Vimy Ridge last year. His poignant recollections were at the heart of Remembrance Day observances at The Scarborough Hospital's Birchmount campus on November 11.

Families delivering babies at The Scarborough Hospital now have the opportunity to bank umbilical cord blood, providing a match for their child should they become ill and require a stem cell transplant later in life.

Philanthropist Harvey Walker thanks TSH Palliative Care UnitGiving thanks to our caring community

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, The Scarborough Hospital Foundation hosted a Donor Recognition Reception to commemorate and celebrate its caring community. Speaking from the heart at the celebration was Harvey Walker, who was inspired to make a $100,000 donation to the hospital because of the compassionate care his late wife Joan received from our palliative care unit.
