ISSUE 20
It's a new day at The Scarborough Hospital

Dr. John Wright, CEOFor the past two years, a major transformation has been taking place at The Scarborough Hospital. The renewal we have witnessed represents a dramatic shift in the way we operate as an organization, and how we care for our patients and interact with our colleagues and our community. The positive changes we have seen signal a new direction for The Scarborough Hospital. We are on the cusp of an exciting new vision for our future that will benefit our patients and our staff, physicians and volunteers for years to come.

With this in mind, I am proud to unveil our new Mission, Vision and Values, which will guide the evolution of our organization over the next five years. What's important to remember is that this is more than just a document -- this is an affirmation of what we do (our Mission), what we want our future to look like (our Vision), and what we believe in (our Values). It will be the lens through which we look at our organization and make critical decisions about where to allocate our time, attention and resources.

I hope you will see the Mission, Vision and Values as a living, breathing document that is more than just words on a page. It is a reflection of an organization of which we can all be proud to be a part, and one that strives to be a healthcare leader strongly focused on providing excellent patient- and family-driven care for our diverse community.
