2009 State Fall Games

Seneca Falls
All events free and open to the public!
Special
Olympics New York's 2009 State Fall Games are coming soon to the New
York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls. Fall Games is one of three
annual state games and more than 400 total competitions held each year
throughout New York. All events are free and open to the public and
"Fans in the Stands"are encouraged to attend all festivities and
competitions to cheer on the athletes.

New York Rental Dealers Association Begins Fundraiser for SONY
Stores across New York State set goal to raise $40,000.
In a year that has been financially challenging for so
many, people, businesses and non-profits alike, the New York State
Rental Dealers Association set an aggressive fundraising goal for their
annual Sponsor-an-Athlete program for Special Olympics New York. The
goal to raise $40,000 is $14,000 more than the $26,000 donation
presented to Special Olympics New York in 2008. Sponsor-an-Athlete
kicks-off August 22nd in over 250 member stores throughout New York

Special Olympics New York Mission
To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of skills and friendship with their families, Special Olympics athletes and the community. Through their participation in Special Olympics New York athletes gain confidence and build a positive self-image, which carries into the classroom, the home, the workplace and the community.
