There is vital information on performing the canter zig zags, and suggestions on how to keep your horse elastic. In these two videos you will learn:

New September Releases
Axel Steiner - USA Axel Steiner was born and grew up in Wiesbaden, Germany, where he started riding as a youngster. His first show was the famous Wiesbaden CDI, where he showed in Dressage Seat Equitation at the age of nine. He later attended the well known dressage meccas of the Reitinstitut von Neindorff and Warendorf. In 1961, Axel emigrated to the US (San Antonio,Texas) to join the Air Force. While waiting to be accepted and thereafter while stationed in Texas he started teaching basic horsemanship and dressage. During these early days, he also competed throughout the Southwest on the horses of the US Modern Pentathlon team. In 1968, Axel received his first judging credentials, and he has been judging and teaching ever since. Even when his military duties took him to locations throughout the US and foreign countries, horses were always a part of his life. His skills and unfailing eye were recognized by riders and officials alike, and he was promoted quickly through the many judges' classifications. An FEI "O" (now 5*) judge since 1988, he has judged Olympics, World Cup Finals, Pan American Games, and many other championships here in the US and throughout the world. Along the way, he participated in the founding of the USDF in 1973, became a member of the USDF "L" faculty since the inception of the program, and has been a long-time member of the USEF Dressage Committee.
Axel balances his judging duties with teaching and clinics around the country, which keep him "in touch" and appreciative of the look and feel from both "A" and "C". Axel retired from the US Air Force as a Lt/Col. He has a son, a daughter, and three grandchildren, and in 2000 he married the well known photographer and painter Terri Miller. They now live happily in Lake San Marcos, which is just north of San Diego.
Mr. Steiner brings us a lesson that shows the marked changes in the horse that is attainable by improved riding. This is an essential video for learning how the rider can communicate more effectively with their horse, leading to a forward horse with balance and lift. Shannon Peters - USAShannon has been an active FEI trainer and competitor for 25 years. She has had great influences throughout her career from "S" judge Debbie Riel-Rodriguez, Nancy Baker and for the past 10 years Obereiter Karl Mikolka of the Spanish Riding School. She has the incredible help everyday now of her husband of five years Steffen Peters, US Olympian. Shannon loves to both train and teach and finds great joy in bringing her horses from training level to GP, and helping her students do the same. She lives in San Diego, California with her husband Steffen Some highlights of her competitive career are: - 2005 Reserve National Champion Intermediare 1 riding Luxor
- 2006 USDF Horse of the Year Intermediare 1 riding Luxor
- 2008 Reserve National Champion FEI 6 year Old riding Weltino's Magic
- 2009 4th place US National Intermediare Championships riding Flor de Selva
- Currently competing Odyssey at GP for his first season, Odyssey is owned by Akiko Yamasaki, purchased from Anky Van Grunsven's barn in Holland
This is a must see video for those working to improve their piaffe, passage or canter zig zags. Shannon Peters gives useful exercises to improve the elasticity of this talented horse.

Debbie McDonald - USADebbie and Bob went to an auction in Germany in 1994 looking for a promising horse; one sensitive enough to recognize and respect Debbie's small five-foot-tall frame. It was love at first ride when they found Brentina and snatched her up. "She was really in tune to me," McDonald said. "She knew I was up there." They bought her right away, and from that point on, McDonald and Brentina have had a great relationship. "From day one I can't even remember having an argument with her," she said. "She just got better and better; she always wants to work with enthusiasm." She and the now 17-year-old mare have had a long and outstanding career together. Together they've helped the US equestrian team win a team silver and team bronze at the World Equestrian games and a team bronze at the 2004 Olympics. In 2003, Brentina helped Debbie to become the first American rider to win the World Cup championship. They also came in third place at the 2005 World Cup. Brentina herself was named the 2005 Farnam/Platform USEF Horse of the Year. Debbie's other accomplishments include wins at both the 2005 and 2004 U.S. Grand Prix Freestyle/Championship/U.S. League Finals, 2003 Bayer Festival of Champions, U.S. Equestrian Team Grand Prix Championship, and both Individual and Team Gold medals at the 1999 Pan American Games. She was named Equestrian of the Year by the American Horse Shows Association (now the USEF) in 1999, as well as the 1999 United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Female Equestrian Athlete of the Year. Alfredo Hernandez-USA
US based trainer who specializes in the development of piaffe and passage training with high-level dressage horses. Alfredo says it's never too early to introduce horses to these advanced movements. Alfredo trained in Jerez, Spain where he trained horses not only for dressage but also for bull fighting. He now specializes in the piaffe and passage using original Spanish techniques.
The piaffe is a dressage movement with the horse moving in a highly collected and cadenced trot in place or nearly in place. The piaffe was originally used in battle to keep the horse focused, warm, and moving, ready to move forward into battle. In modern times the piaffe is mostly taught as an upper level movement in Classical dressage and as a Grand Prix level movement.
The passage is an upper-level dressage movement, in which the horse performs a highly-elevated and extremely powerful trot. The horse is very collected and moves with great impulsion.
Alfredo is the trainer for many Olympic and Grand Prix riders.
Join Alfredo Hernandez in this exciting video showing the first stages of introducing the piaffe and Spanish Walk to a young gelding. There are demonstrations of work in hand as well as mounted work assisted from the ground.
