New Video-Training Level/E

Do you have a horse that is a bit difficult in the contact? Do they want to stick the nose up and out? The horse in this video is new to the rider and Mr. Gerding. Much time is focused on the very basics which is super for riders of all levels but especially targeted to the young horse or novice rider. Very nice detail is given regarding the importance of riding corners and how are hands can affect the quality.

Catherine Haddad-USA

In 2009 Catherine was ranked 7th in the Western European League. Catherine Haddad represented the USA in the 2007 Rolex World Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2006, as a member of the US Team she was named reserve rider for the USEF at the World Equestrian Games. She has lived in Vechta, Germany for the last 10 years, running her own stable, International Dressage.

New Video-3rd/M Level

Catherine works on getting proper bend and using the hand in a more efficient way to aid in this. During the counter canter portion, Catherine focuses on getting the rider to keep the true lead aids on and why its so important. Counter canter quality. During the relax phase, Catherine wants the rider to allow the horse to stretch her neck, without pulling down and going wide with the hands and seesawing, instead simply push the hands forward towards the ears. The also work on flying changes and how to get more jump in the change in addition to how to keep the horse collected during this work. New Video-4th Level/S

Shoulder in work, prepping correctly so that the horse doesn't come above the bit when the rider asks for it. Courtney reiterates that a little bit  of flexion and bend is going to help the horse be supple and flexible. However, you must be aware that you need to always give. Work on short canter over the centerline and where and when you need to start to collect. Half pass work. Great emphasis put on riding the half pass zig zag properly and how much bend you need and when to begin asking for it.
