Network2
The FRAMEweb Network - People networking around the globeDo you use Facebook? Linked-In? Are you connected to individuals in some other social media website? Ever wished you could search for people that have professional interests or experience in a particular field of Natural Resource Management? You can with the network tab. From the home page you'll see a tab called Network (you'll also see this tab in each of the communities). From here you can search for individual members by the information in their profiles. Interested in climate change and REDD? Wondering who else on FRAMEweb has this background? Maybe you want more information on wildlife conservation. Type in your search criteria, click "Filter" and all those who have added "REDD" or "conservation" to their profiles will show up. You can email them, add them as favorites, see what contributions they've made to the site, and connect with them directly. Remember, in order to be "found" you'll need to keep your profiles up-to-date. Take a minute to check out your profile - click "My Options" in the upper left of the screen.

Tools2Tools and Resources -This is the oldest part of FRAMEweb, with a collection of resources to compliment discussions, including videos, links to websites, reports, success stories and best practices, etc. While not a library, these resources serve to enrich the discussions in communities.

Discussion2Discussions - Are you curious what other people think about a process or technique you've heard about? Want to know if anyone has experience with Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration, or bio-gas techniques, or maybe if bamboo growth could be considered a CBNRM? Then ask! The discussion platforms in each community offer you a chance to get your questions answered or share your expertise, or even just your thoughts with others.

Archives2Links to Archived FRAMEweb Communities - Looking for a document from an old community you remember from a  long time ago that you can't find here? Some of the original FRAMEweb communities are no longer active, but you can find their archived resources in the RM Portal. To get to that page, click on the Library Tab on the FRAMEweb home page and the list of archived communities will appear!

RMPortal Library Tab

Search2Searching- Where do I find climate change information? I want to know about Community-based natural resource management in Africa. Are there people from Senegal on this site? You can find all of this information by searching. The Search tool - in the upper right corner of the site functions like your Google search. You can search within a community, or the whole site. You can narrow your search results by using the advanced searching tools that show up once you've started a search.

Blogs2Blogs blog button- FRAMEweb supports a blogging function based in your profile. You can blog about a topic, dicussion or resource by clicking the Blog button  in your activity toolbar.  You can also add a blog straight from your profile by clicking the blog tab.

tag cloud
Tags2Tags - Ever wonder what all those words are in the left side of the site? Some are bigger than others. This is the "Tag Cloud". Every time a document, discussion, question, new account, etc. is added to the site, people use keywords to "tag" the content. The more times a word is tagged, the bigger it appears in teh tag cloud. The cloud varies by partner page and community. You can click a tag to see the content with that tag. You can also add tags to your own additions to the site - including yourself!
