From Jerusalem to Eilat over 8 days, 7 nights, this guided bike trip takes you along the Dead Sea, through a descent at the Ramon Crater and across the Arava Plains to arrive in Eilat on the Red Sea.
Day 1: 18:00 meeting at your hotel near Jerusalem for introductions, technical briefing, and dinner. Lodging: Kessem HaDafna, Ein Karem, Jerusalem. Day 2: Walking in Jerusalem. Tour the highlights of Jerusalem and visit the City of David. Lodging: Same as Day 1. Day 3. Cycling: 30 km/19 mi. of cycling; one medium ascent (4 km/2 mi. 200 meters vertical); the rest flat or descent. Transfer from Jerusalem (elevation - 800 meters) to the flat land (250 m ASL). BL Lodging: Hotel in Arad. Day 4. Cycling: 60 km/37 mi. flat or descent; 2 hours in Masada on foot; 2 hours at Mount Sodom by foot. Optional: 67 km/42 mi. of cycling including the great descent from Arad to Ein Bokek - 22 km downhill! BLD Lodging: Country inn. Day 5. Cycling: 134 km/83 mi. Flat morning and a very hilly afternoon. BLD Lodging: The Ramon Inn, Mitzpe Ramon. Day 6. Cycling: 83 km/52 mi. The mountains of the Negev and across the desert. BLD Lodging: Kibbutz Ketura or Kibbutz Lotan. Day 7. Cycling: 60 km/37 mi. BLD Lodging: Royal Beach or Le Meridien. Day 8. Snorkelling, transfers and farewells.
