Toko Race Wax Recommendations Starting Soon
|
Toko race wax tips are different from wax tips offered from
other companies. We have a network of trained waxing professionals from the
Toko Tech Team, Team Rossignol, and other sponsored athletes collaborating,
testing, researching, and finalizing race wax tips throughout the country. Each
wax tip takes into consideration not only weather forecast and snow type, but
also local wisdom which makes a huge difference. In a classic race, if the
course has some steep and sun-exposed hills toward the finish, we will take this
into account. In any style of race, if the course involves a number of loops
and especially is interval start, the course will likely get glazed up which
will also be considered. When looking at the weather forecast, especially in
mountain areas, local knowledge counts greatly. We take into consideration
which direction a storm might be coming from and make the appropriate
adjustments. In some areas, a colder wax just seems to always work better and
in others we find just the opposite. In short, Toko has trained, dedicated,
experienced, and local experts throughout the country who are excited to
continue serving you. Toko offers race wax recommendations on some 200 events
per year. If you got this email, you will also get the Toko Race Wax Recommendations, a valuable tool! Click here to learn more about how we create Toko Race Wax Tips

West Yellowstone Report including SuperTour Waxing
The Toko Tech Team had a full and busy week in West Yellowstone. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday were spent in seminars learning about weather (from a NWS weather scientist), we spent a lot of time on the latest in kick and glide waxing methods and techniques, we compared our experiences in waxing in challenging conditions throughout the country, and we heard from some ski companies on their latest equipment and specifically and changes regarding waxing this new equipment (wax pocket shape for example). The races went off very well with many big teams using Toko wax solutions (Rossignol, CXC, Fischer, and NENSA to name a few). Click here to learn more about what was done for the SuperTour races. Tech Tip
|
 |
Always polish your fluorocarbons after applying them. This is important for any method of application including spraying/letting dry, rotocorking, rub/cork, or iron/brush. A dual pad (white side) or a thermo pad can be used for this purpose.

Product Highlight
|
 |
The Thermo WS Gore glove is a lifesaver. After braving the sub zero temperatures in West Yellowstone, it was easy to remember why this glove has such a following. This is the warmest five fingered glove on the market that we know of. It is also super in terms of bulk to warmth ratio - it does not feel bulky at all! Thick Windstopper Fleece and a thin, but warm insulator on the palm make this glove pretty much water and windproof (from the back) and extremely warm and comfortable. MSRP $69. Comes in women's specific sizing and fit as well. |
