JON TOMLIN ELECTED AS PRESIDENT OF EXECUTIVE BOARD

WHAT: School on Wheels announces a new President for their Executive Board
WHO: School on Wheels is very happy to report that Jon Tomlin has been elected President of their Executive Board. This appointment takes effect immediately. Jon has been a tutor at the Union Rescue Mission in the past and a Board member since 2005. He is a Principal with LECG, Inc., a global expert services and consulting firm. Jon also co-founded Reading to Kids a grassroots organization dedicated to inspiring underserved children with a love of reading. Jon will bring his leadership skills and experience to this important position.
School on Wheels is also delighted to announce a new Board Member, Mickey McKinney. Mickey McKinney is a very inspiring lady - in and out of homelessness as a child and in a shelter later in life as a mother of two. She is now a successful consultant working on children's causes (in particular, foster care in South Los Angeles) and working toward her master's degree in Social Work at USC.

School on Wheelsis a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that provides educational assistance and support to homeless students k-12th grades. School on Wheels works with students throughout Southern California and they have two learning centers; one in Skid Row and one in South Los Angeles.
