Greetings! ,
I'd like to thank you again for taking part in the 2009 School on Wheels volunteer survey. As a result of your participation, we've gathered some excellent suggestions about ways we can improve both your volunteer experience and the services we offer to our students and families.

As promised, we would like to share the results of the survey with you. Below is a short summary; additionally, please click here to view the series of charts detailing the responses to each survey question.

A total of 430 current and former tutors responded to the survey. While most of the responses registered a high degree of satisfaction with School on Wheels, they also helped us to identify some areas where we can make improvement.

Among the areas where respondents were the most satisfied:
  • 95% of respondents either strongly agreed or agreed that the School on Wheels staff is responsive to their needs
  • 90% of respondents either strongly agreed or agreed that they had a good relationship with their student
  • 90% of respondents either strongly agreed or agreed that they were content with their tutoring location
  • 88% of respondents either strongly agreed or agreed that they feel valued and appreciated by School on Wheels

Among the areas where respondents identified the most room for improvement:
  • 26% of respondents either disagreed or strongly disagreed that School on Wheels holds enough social events for its tutors
  • 17% of respondents either disagreed or strongly disagreed that they feel like part of the School on Wheels community
School on Wheels values your feedback highly and you can expect to see efforts to incorporate these suggestions into our operations in the coming weeks and months. Thank you again for your input and your commitment to making School on Wheels a better organization.

Yours sincerely,
Matt Raab
