Dear Friend,
With a grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, we haved hired consultant Gary Stern of Stern Consulting International to engage us in a thorough strategic planning process in 2011 that will steer us on a course of having a greater impact on the lives of children and families. The healthy development of NH's children is a building block for NH's community and economic development.
We invite you to consider these two opportunities to get involved:
We'd like to welcome Maria Doyle to our staff as the new Quality Improvement Associate at the NH Children's Trust. Maria brings years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the Children's Trust. Welcome aboard, Maria!
Thanks to your support, we have been able to bring prevention services to every corner of our state. Your donation for the prevention of child abuse and neglect is always welcome!
Thank you from all of us at the Children's Trust,

WELCOME!
Maria Doyle, LICSW joined the New Hampshire Children's Trust in August 2011 as the Quality Improvement Associate. Maria's first project will be coordinating the National Movement for America's Children's New England Listening Tour. Listening sessions will be held in an east, west and south border town, Manchester and Concord between October 31 and November 2, 2011. To learn more about the Movement and to sign the pledge for our children click here.
Maria brings 25 years' experience in human services to the position, including the supervision of direct services supporting foster, adoptive and birth families in caring for children and youth. Most recently Maria worked at Casey Family Services where she also developed and implemented curricula on staff supervision and pre-service of foster parents, as well as a training for new staff on increasing cultural effectiveness. With an increasing interest in training and quality improvement, Maria shifted her career focus from the provision and supervision of direct service to developing and promoting practices that work.
Maria received her B.A. in psychology from Westfield State College and a Masters in Social Service from the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. She has worked in community mental health, child welfare and training. She believes that supporting families and facilitating access to resources is our strongest avenue to helping kids be their best.
"There are a lot of families, agencies and professionals working hard at the important work of supporting and raising kids. I hope to raise awareness of some of the tools and resources available to help them in their work and to facilitate connections so that people will feel linked to others doing similar work. In this way they might learn from each other and feel supported in ways that help them nurture and sustain their efforts."
