NH CAN Do Better!

Dear Friends:

KerynWhether or not you have been following the state budgeting process, the results will impact you and/or someone you know.  The NH Children's Lobby newsletter has highlighted a few of the budget proposals and the impact on children and their families.  We believe we have a responsibility to provide you with this information so that you may make informed choices. View the newsletter:  NH Children's Lobby, June 2011 newsletter

Your actions may include making changes within your family to cope with the loss of financial assistance, income and/or services; or they may include making plans to assist your neighbors and friends as they cope with the loss of financial assistance, income and/or services; or you may write a letter to the editor, attend a town meeting or contact your local senators, representatives or the governor's office to express your concerns about the impact on your family and your community.

Whatever you decide to do, please remember how important it is to manage your stress.  Stress has been known to lead people into acting in ways that are hurtful to themselves, their children and partners.  If you find yourself getting to that point, take a self-timeout, seek support and make a plan to manage your stress and keep everyone safe.

Thank you on behalf of children and families in New Hampshire.

Sincerely,

  Keryn
