Concord NH:  The New Hampshire Children's Trust Fund (NHCTF) will host a grant application workshop on June 19th, 2009, from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Casey Family Services, 105 Loudon Rd., Building 2, Concord, NH.  New and previous applicants are encouraged to attend the workshop to learn about changes. The NHCTF seeks applications from NH-based non-profits for prevention efforts against child abuse and neglect.  RSVP by June 19 to 224-1279 or info@nhctf.org
 
Letters of Intent are due Friday, June 26, 2009 by 4 p.m.  Applications are due Monday, August 17th, 2009 by 5 pm at the NHCTF office: 10 Ferry St., Suite 315, Concord, NH  03301.

The purpose of the funds is primary prevention services for children and families, particularly those designed to prevent child abuse and neglect.  Organizations may also apply for system building programs, for building organizational capacity, and for new projects, programs or initiatives meeting the goal of 'keeping children safe and families strong.'
 
Grants are not awarded to individuals, for intervention or treatment programs, for capital campaigns, land or building acquisition, or for facilities renovations, for deficit reductions or for activities that have occurred in the past.  Organizations must be recognized under Section 501(c)(3) by the IRS, and must provide services to New Hampshire children and families.
 
The New Hampshire Children's Trust Fund supports community-based programs that prevent child abuse and neglect through grant-making, technical and training assistance, evaluation and special projects. The NHCTF believes that the most effective way to keep our children safe from abuse and neglect is to foster the development of strong families. The New Hampshire Children's Trust Fund was established in 1987 by legislative statute RSA 169-C:39 to support programs in New Hampshire that work to prevent child abuse and neglect. Our focus is primary prevention initiatives that keep children safe and families strong.
