SONOMA HUMANE SOCIETY

August  2011
Greetings!

About 300 guests and party animals were in attendance last Friday evening, as we celebrated our 80th Anniversary at the Wags, Whiskers and Wine Gala at Trentadue Winery.

In addition to the wonderful wine and beer tastings and gourmet dinner, guests enjoyed a great dog behavior and training performance and then rocked to the music of Miss Kitty and the Big Dogs. But, for me, and ultimately for the animals we serve, the highlight of the evening was the amount of money raised by the event: more than $165,000.

I can't thank everyone who contributed enough. Thank you to our sponsors. Thank you to our donors. Thank you to everyone who bid on auction items. Thank you to our volunteers who staffed the event. And, thank you to all who went above and beyond the call of duty to make the evening such a smashing succeKiska Icardss.

With warm regards,

AT THE GALA, THE ANIMALS WERE THE REAL STORY.

At the Wags, Whiskers and Wine Gala, at the center of each table was a card that told the story of one of our animals. The animals were the real buzz of the evening with so many stories to tell. We'd like to share some of them with you.
