football on field
Football is good and American, so we are supporting America this year by watching as much as possible. Hope you will join us for college and NFL football games and take advantage of our magnificent hot wing specials. We have professional bartenders available at every moment to serve you a light beer or a double scotch (depending on how the game is going).
Greetings!

harris oceanOrange leaves, football and air conditioning bills that are less than $10,000 a month. Ah yes, September is a good thing.
We hope you've had a wonderful summer filled with painful little seashells crunching under your bare feet, sand in your sheets and fruity cocktails with paper umbrellas. Of course, now we're glad to have you all back at home for a little fun at the DB. We'd like to personally invite you to come have a nice cocktail and a delicious dinner this month and we'll get this fall started off right.

It's going to be a great month
September is looking like an action-packed month at the DB. Hope you join us for college and NFL football, some exciting Wine Nights with Hors d'oeuvres (Tuesday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 21) and a couple of great fall weekends to come on over and visit with friends.  We have a new dinner special (see below), a couple of new drink specials and more.  Also, as many of you know -- Jay surfingPhillip, our bartender extraordinaire, has had hip surgery and will be out for about a month. Adam Bartel, (notice that he has bar in his name which bodes well ...) will be taking his place. If you'd like to send Phillip a note, please send it to: Phillip Barton, P.O. Box 226, Bethania, NC 27010. In Phillip's absence, Adam will be happy to discuss whether Tiger Woods will ever win a tournament again, whether Roger Clemens will go to jail or whether Butch Davis will finish the winter in Florida.

You moms out there deserve praise (and a double martini)
Yes, we know you moms may have a little zip in your step now that the kiddies are back in school (you preschool moms just hold on for two more weeks -- you can make it!). Of course, just when you thought you were going to have time to kick back and eat bon bons all day -- no, girl!  You've got to drive the carpool and check that new online grading website to see if little Jimmy and Suzie passed that math test you had to make them study for. Well, here's an idea:  why don't you bring all those kiddies and your beloved over to the Diamondback for dinner and let us take care of all of you. Husbands, you get in there and act helpful -- you're going to need some time on your derriere watching football at the DB. You know the old saying ... "If Momma's happy, everyone's happy."

Make Plans to Walk On Over and See Your Buddies at the DB

Fall weather is always nice for walking over to the DB. Come see us, try a new cocktail or something delicious off our new menus and just, well, enjoy.
-- Kimberly and Murphy
*Our lawyers would probably like us to mention that you must be over 21 to drink any of the alcoholic beverages listed in this e-mail. But, of course, you already know that.
Upcoming Events
fall wine nights
Watching a good game of football is better than, well, many things in life -- particularly those that you can talk about in a monthly newsletter for a family-oriented restaurant. With that said, we hope you'll join us this fall for game nights.

The Diamondback wouldn't be the Diamondback without our incredible staff. Thank you, staff!

Fresh Now
Mojitos with crushed fresh mint. Not a bad way to spend cocktail hour. While Phillip is away, pro bartender Adam Bartel will be here with our bartender extraordinaire Jason -- so you should be in good hands. Adam is our star bartender from 100HIGH. He's used to serving furniture folks who have been standing on their feet for ten hours and seriously need their libations. The man knows how to mix a drink.

  • Iced coffee with coffee ice cubes
