Greetings!
warm upFor all those suffering from sick-of-freezing-cold-weather syndrome,
we'd like to invite you to join us at the Diamondback, where you can remove your North Face Eskimo attire, scarf, face mask, neck gator, earmuffs and, well, warm up a little.

This month we'll be making a toasty fire every single night and serving up some serious comfort food -- lasagna, chicken pot pie and boeuf bourguignon (thank you, Julia).  Our professional bartenders Phillip and Jason are here to mix you some wintry favorites -- just like the ones they serve in Alaska and other subzero locations (we don't actually know this but it seems reasonable)...  Anyway, come in for a hot Irish Coffee, Drambuie or old Scotch that will warm you from the inside out.  For those of you who are fired up about the New Year and want to wear your pedometer, organic cotton yoga pants or brand-new bun-tightening tennis shoes, we welcome you too.  Jog on over and enjoy a beautiful, trainer-approved "Make Your Own Salad."  It's health and vigor right on a plate.

Lots going on this month
facebook iconThis is a huge month for basketball and football lovers.  We're getting deep into the season now and lots of big games are coming up.  Check out our calendar (just scroll on down) this month for NFL and college basketball schedules.  We're also going to be helping out Reynolds High School on January 27.  Ten percent of our proceeds will go to them on that night, so come on out.  We'll be stirring up the romance of Valentine's Day and having a wild time for Mardi Gras.  Make plans to join us -- reservations are highly recommended for both of those nights, so call (336) 722-0006.  To see a January calendar, click here.

Thank you everyone for a fantastic December
The Diamondback was a magical spot over Christmas and we absolutely loved seeing so many of you with old friends, family and Uncle Bob.  We loved having everyone gather for some Christmas cheer.  And beer.  We had so many oyster lovers we kept SELLING OUT OF OYSTERS.  So thank you all so much for that.

Happy, happy New Year.
Wishing everyone lots of joy in 2010.  Come see us at the Diamondback soon.

Valentines is one of the most popular nights of the year at the Diamondback.  Cupid himself would probably want to eat at the DB just because we like to go all out. Our chefs are already working on a divine menu created with two in mind.  We'll have chocolate desserts, champagne and an elegant meal to make this a night to remember.  We have had several tables with groups in the past and they had a blast too.  Call and make a reservation in advance and we can even send your valentine a personalized invitation to your romantic dinner if you'd like.  We do recommend reservations for everyone on Valentines because the Diamondback is a popular spot.  Not everyone lets you wine and dine your sweetie -- and still watch sports on a bunch of big TVs.

336-722-0006   Note to men on Valentines:  you do get extra credit for planning ahead for Valentines. Some women can actually get fired up if you wait too long on Valentines and then try to save money buying discounted old chocolates.  This is not rocket science, friends. Give us a call and you'll be set.

Tuesday, February 16
Dinner service begins at 5:30 pm
It's always a little crazy around the Diamondback on Mardi Gras night.  We actually get our beads straight from New Orleans along with real King Cake, coins and other party favors.  We want you to make your reservations early for this one and invite friends (this is definitely a fun night for a group). Find the baby in the King Cake and you get to be king for the year.  We'll also be serving some spicy New Orleans specialties.  Don't miss this Diamondback tradition!  The Diamondback does pick its very own Mardi Gras Queen.  Liz V., thank you for your glorious reign last year.  Who will it be this year?  Well, you'll just have to wait to find out.  For reservations, call (336) 722-0006.
