Dear ,
Enough Purell already.  Time for a little fun.
Ah yes, November is a month to be grateful for all the good things in life.  Like leaf blowing.  And online shopping with free shipping.  And the homemade Brunswick stew right here at the Diamondback.  We invite everyone to come on in, relax, have a fabulous dinner and enjoy toasting your buns by our fire. We have nightly dinner specials and nightly drink specials designed so you can eat and drink well, and still save money.  It's stress free here at the Diamondback, despite the fact that Christmas is only 42 days away and you still haven't started shopping for the Mario Party Nintendo DS game cartridge for little Billy. Oops, didn't mean to stress you out.

We hope you'll join us for our Italian Night with Wine Tasting on November 19.  We've spent weeks choosing these dinner specials and then pairing them with the perfect Italian wines.  We'll also have lots of great basketball action this month and naturally we're psyched about that.  Come with a crowd for Thanksgiving "Ole Home Week."  Traditionally Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are the big nights and we do expect a crowd. If you're a Winston-Salem native, forward this e-mail to your out-of-town friends and tell them to meet you at the Diamondback.

Need an Expert Caterer?
Lots of people ask if we cater.  Why yes, of course we do.  In fact, we've been hosting successful parties for 20 years or so.  If you need a pro who can handle your whole event - call Murphy at (336) 722-0006.

Thanks everyone, and we look forward to seeing you this month.   Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Survival Guide:  How to Cook a Turkey
turkey dinner 2How To Cook a Perfect Turkey
Murphy's Famous Turkey Recipe

If you're cooking a turkey this holiday, try Murphy's No-Fail Turkey recipe.  You'll have a perfect turkey in about two hours. We've had Diamondback customers try this, and they agreed:  this recipe works. So if you want a fabulous, stress-free Thanksgiving and make your mother-in-law think you're Julia Child, well, here you go.

Canned Food and Toy Drives at the Diamondback
food driveBring Us a Can of Food to Benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, and We'll Match It
Did you know the Food Bank is having trouble keeping up with demand this fall?  Well, we knew we wanted to help, and we thought you might like to help, too.  Actually this idea came from over the summer when several of Kimberly's friends decided not to give birthday presents to each other -- but gave canned food to the Food Bank instead.

So next time you come to the Diamondback, bring a can of food with you.  Or if you're a neighbor, just pop in.  We'll have a big box right out front. We'll count the cans at the end of the month and match that number!  This is a simple, easy way to give back and we hope you'll send us shopping for lots of cans of food!

Starting in December, we'll be collecting Toys for Children!  Drop off a new, unwrapped toy for a child when you come in and we'll help deliver it to a child in our community who needs one!
Gift Certificates and Holiday Entertaining

Diamondback Gift Certificates are available in any amount.  Just call us and order one with a credit card, or stop in and we'll prepare it for you. Soccer coaches and local schoolteachers do love getting our gift certificates, and we know that - because we see them come back in and have a great time!  To order a gift certificate, call the restaurant at (336) 722-0006.

Update on 100HIGH
100HIGH Opening a Great Success

We want to thank everyone from Winston-Salem who came out to support us in High Point!  The opening of 100HIGH was incredibly successful and we were so proud of our High Point based staff.

Below are some pictures of the restaurant that we thought you'd enjoy seeing.
 100HIGH opening
Grand opening ribbon cutting of 100HIGH in High Point during the October Furniture Market. Pictured:  Murphy, U.S. Senator Kay Hagan, High Point Mayor Becky Smothers, High Point Market Authority President Brian Casey and Director of Leasing and Marketing Rick King.
 staff
Picture of our 100HIGH brand new staff members.  This is an incredible group of professionals who made us look fantastic throughout the market.  100HIGH has a unique concept in that it's only open during the High Point Furniture Market and for private parties (let us know if you'd like to have one!).
 100 high interior shot
Interior Shot of 100High just before the opening.  The ultra vibrant colors on the wall give it a wonderful ambiance and we loved watching the transformation of the space.
See you at the Diamondback
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.  Come see us and bring your family!--Kimberly and Murphy
