Greetings!
 College football, orange leaves, nice cool air, attempting to get the vacation pictures out of the digital camera ... ah yes, September is a wonderful month. We love the start of the school year and we've already had some great weekends lately, with crowds coming in to watch the Wake games. The bar has been packed on the weekends and we love seeing friends catch up. This month we'll be serving some incredible seafood specials and offering deliciously fresh, locally sourced produce. The end of summer is always a great time for wonderful, mouthwatering food.

Listen, you Moms have taken care of those children all summer long. And it's time for you to head on over for a little date night and just relax. Okay, so you haven't had time to vacuum the 10 pounds of Wrightsville Beach sand out of your car and your children's soccer cleats are now 2 sizes too small and you just found your son's cell phone in the bottom of washing machine. Just breathe deeply, walk on over and have a delicious dinner.
We'll take care of you.
 Join us for WFU Football Nights Don't have tickets on the 50 yard line? So what. We have great coverage of the Wake games (and lots of your other favorite college football games too) on huge HDTVs which you can see from well, basically anywhere you turn your head. Come on over -- we'll have a cold beer waiting.
Curb-side Take Out-- Don't forget we have curb-side take out here at the Diamondback. You can call in your order and we'll have it ready for you in about 20 minutes. Great idea when your family is ready for dinner and you're ready to sit down and put your feet up. Or here's an idea: call and order a great dinner to-go and have a picnic above Spry Stadium while watching the NCAA CHAMPION WAKE SOCCER TEAM play. Makes for a really fun night.  FOOTBALL NIGHTS AT THE DB
Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Join us for football, friends and fantastic food. Come join us at the bar or bring the family (wives will generally be more receptive to a night of football if they don't have to cook, clean and put the children to bed while their beloveds sit on their well, you get the point.) Drink specials every night.
 September 12th - 13th (Friday and Saturday)
WELCOME BACK WEEKEND
Make plans to come out and catch up with your buddies at the DB. And for those of you who've been gone for 6 weeks living La Vida Loca somewhere well, it's time we saw you. Head straight over after work as we get the weekend started off right. We'll be having great seafood specials all weekend long. Drink specials include Bartender's Choice on Friday night and Margarita Specials on Saturday night.
 September 19th - 20th
SURF AND TURF WEEKEND This is a weekend for seafood and beef lovers. We'll be pairing beautifully prepared shrimp with a thick, juicy steak cooked just the way you like it. We'll have some veggies on the side so your personal trainer will approve. Don't miss it.
 September 25th (Thursday night!)
OYSTER & SHRIMPAROO You may need a bib for this one. Come for a fantastic menu with steamed oysters, boiled shrimp, fresh corn on the cob, potatoes with melted butter and much more. We only serve this special at the height of the season and this is it!
September 27th -- WAKE HOME GAME -- Wake vs. Navy. Come on in and let the celebration continue. Wake has a great team this year and we have been having big fun crowds at the DB to see the Deacs in action. Heels vs. Miami, too.

 FIREFLY SWEET TEA VODKA - NEW, SOUTHERN AND FABULOUS (and hard to find unless you're at the Diamondback)
We were curious about this new Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka that Kimberly's buddy kept talking about. So we bought a couple of bottles and let some of our regulars do a little taste test. Well, we sold out in about an hour.
Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka comes from a tiny little distillery on Wadmalaw Island, thirty miles South of Charleston, South Carolina.
You can't get this just anywhere, but you can get it at the Diamondback. Come on in and give it a try. We'll have it on special on Thursdays. |

 1. Wake Men's Soccer Training Table. The Diamondback Grill is proud to host the Wake Forest Men's Soccer Team's Training Table for the 9th Year in a row!!! These guys are not only the NCAA National Champions but they are also the #1 ranked team in the nation. For a soccer game schedule, click here.
2. Tasty Tapas nightly. The Diamondback is known for delicious tapas packed with flavor. Our tapas menu changes nightly. Ask our bartender for wine recommendations -- we offer over 45 wines by the glass so  the odds are pretty darn good that we can find something you'll love. Can't make up your mind? Try a "night flight" -- a series of tastes.
3. Art to Go -- We have some incredible art of the wall this month and we invite you to take a look when you're at the DB this month -- and then take some of it home with you. We welcome Shawn Beard with Associated Artists along with Ellen Christian, Kay Hutchinson, Frank Rowland and Sally Corpening with Art Affair. Come check it out.
4. Our big winner this month. Our big winner of the month is Brad M. Brad will receive a $25 to the Diamondback just for giving us his e-mail.
5. Welcome to Wireless. Why toil away all night in your office when you could be at the DB having a delicious steak dinner and a high speed connection... Head on over and bring your laptop with you.
 6. Make your Own Salad -- exactly the way you want it. Yes, we believe you should be in charge of your salad destiny. Lots of dressing? Just a little? Extra bacon? No bacon?
