Greetings!
Will a Grapefruit Margarita with Grand Marnier make tax season any less horrific? Probably not. But a night of  great food, friends and incredible sports action will make you feel good all over. And this month is truly a sports fan's dream: NCAA Tournament finals, The Masters, Davis Cup Tennis and more.
We certainly thank everyone who participated in our 2008 First Annual NCAA Bracket Contest. We've had a blast with this. On Saturday, April 5th we'll have the NCAA Final Four and Monday, April 7th we'll all be ready for the Championship night. Duke's out. Davidson's out. So we'll see if the Tar Heels can  go all the way. Scroll down to see who's still in the running for our $50.00 gift certificate for a hot night out at the Diamondback.
Attention Soccer Fans: we have something incredible going on this month. Members of the NCAA Championship Men's Wake Forest Soccer Team will be at the Diamondback on Wednesday, April 16th -- as waiters! It's part of a benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and we'd love for anyone who loves soccer to come out for a great family night.
Our Wine and Tapas Event Series will resume this month and it's going to be great fun. Mark your calendar for Thursday, April 24th for a night of "Fabulous Food in Film". We'll be offering an 8-course  tasting menu inspired by food in film. The is our ode to the RiverRun Film Festival which will be in town this month. Wines will be from the Michael~David Winery, which produces some very hip sounding wines like "7 Deadly Zins". Reservations are a must, so please get your buddies together and come out for a great night!

Come meet members of WFU Men's National Championship Soccer Team at the Diamondback

As part of a Make-A-Wish Foundation benefit, members of the Wake Forest Men's Soccer Team will be joining the Diamondback Wait Staff for one night. It really is a wish come true!
 So make plans to come in for dinner and see who shows up at your table. You'll have an opportunity to meet the players and get an autograph or two.

A Delicious Celebration of Food and Wine in Film
with Wines from Michael~David Winery
Thursday, April 24th
 The RiverRun Film Festival will be in town this month and we thought we'd pay tribute by hosting a "Food and Film" night of our own! Join us for an 8-course tasting dinner featuring mouth watering foods inspired by famous foodie films.
Wines will be from the Michael~David Winery in California. In their own words they are "six generations of winegrowers specializing in hand-crafted Rhone varietals as well as Lodi's famous Old Vine Zinfandels." Michael~David's popular wines include: 7 Deadly Zins, 7 Heavenly Chards, 6th Sense Syrahs and Others. For more information on Michael~David wines, click here.  The unveiling of our new Wine List: This month we'll be presenting an updated and expanded Wine List. So now you can enjoy ordering a new selection of wines by the glass to complement your dinner or tapas. Don't forget you can create your own wine tasting at our 20' Oak Wine Bar any day of the week.
Spring is a great time to get outside for dinner and we can  make it so that all you have to do is light the candle. Just download our take-out menu and order up a delicious, healthy dinner. We'll prepare it for you and you can pick it up on your way home from work, soccer, t-ball, gymnastics or well, whatever you have going on.
