Greetings!
We're starting out the New Year by saying thank you for, well...the old year. We thank all of you who came in over the holidays, brought in friends, brought in your 4th cousin, brought in your 83-year-old scotch loving grandmother who tried to drink you under the table... We thank all of you who had catered parties, corporate parties, parties at your house with scrumptious little Diamondback hors d'oeuvres... We also thank all of those who came to celebrate a wild, fabulous New Year's (and can actually remember coming in to celebrate New Year's). We can honestly say it was the best December we've had in 20 years. And we hope everyone had as much fun as we did.
Okay so we're ready for New Year's Resolutions: yours. Since it is our never ending pursuit to serve you with excellence, we're now going to attempt to help you keep those New Year's resolutions. Want to decrease your chances of getting on "The Biggest Loser"? Want to save money? Become more adventurous? Read below on our ideas to make those resolutions come true.
Big sports month -- good thing you spent time with the family over the holidays. Enough family time -- it's time for some football. And basketball and time in front of our 67" hd TVs. Let those kiddies play with their Leapsters and Wiis and take your wife who busted her - oops -- we mean who worked very hard during the holidays, out on a date.
First Wine & Tapas Event of the Year - Thursday, Jan. 31st at 6:30 pm - join us!
Wine lovers, we can't wait to see you. This month we'll kick off our 2008 Wine and Tapas Event Series with "Get REDy for Winter". This will be a fabulous 7-course winter culinary experience focusing on big, beautiful reds and tasty small bites packed with flavor. Gather up your favorite friends and make reservations today.
Must have been the food. We'll just go ahead and confess to shedding some manly tears over the Wake Men's Soccer Team winning the NCAA Division I National Championship. This was an all out war and to see these guys emerge victorious was simply unforgettable. And certainly we're even more proud that these incredible athletes have their training table right here at the Diamondback. Just imagine what eating this food can do for you! We're certainly proud of ALL the winning Wake Teams. Congratulations!
Here's to a fabulous New Year. We'll see you at the Diamondback.

RESOLUTION #1: six pack abs
Okay, this is a tough one but our healthy menu items are a great start. Try our "Make Your Own Salad". Those low-calorie veggies and dressing will make your personal trainer proud, honey child. Choose from 65 different ingredients and make it exactly the way you want it. Add our grilled organic chicken breast or filet for something special. Eat in or call for curb-side take out. Try the Palm Beach Chopper method for something extra delicious. |
RESOLUTION #2: be more adventurous
We have multiple ways to help you walk on the wild side! (Actually, if you're ready for the picture on the left you are going to need your travel agent and some personal health insurance). a. Try some new wines. We stock over 45 wines by the glass. Why not try something new this year? Trade in your Chardonnay for a Pouilly Fuisse. You can choose a full glass or you can just try a taste. Make a night of it. Our bartenders can help you find some wines that are right for you. Fruity. Dry. Whatever you want. b. Come to our very first Wine and Tapas Event of the Year - Jan. 31st You're invited to join us for a winter culinary event. We're going to "Get REDy for winter" by tasting and learning about red wines (yes we know you didn't have to be in Mensa to figure that one out) and pairing them with scrumptious tapas and small plate dishes. Don't know anything about red wine? You certainly will after this. Last year these events were sell outs -- make reservations today. c. Try our tapas. Our chef reaches out to all corners of the world to bring you some new tastes... in 2 or 3 bites. You get more taste with less food and your mouth (and midriff) will thank you for it. Tapas specials are listing on the specials menu and on the chalkboard in the wine bar. |

RESOLUTION #3 - Save some green. Now this coupon won't exactly make you the millionaire next door but it is good for $1.00 off a dinner bill worth $25.00 or more. One coupon per customer please. You can print one of these every night if you'd like and we certainly hope you will. This offer is good in January, 2008 only at the Diamondback Grill. |
|
RESOLUTION #4 - More romance Yes, the Diamondback Grill can help fire up the romance. Who knew! Also going on in January
1. Curb-side Take Out Let our staff cook you a delicious dinner and bring it out into the Arctic air for you! This is living! Our gourmet take-out meals are fast, healthy and ready in about 20 minutes.
2. Take-out our artwork, too. Many of you noticed all the beautiful new artwork on the walls. And took it home with you! The good news is that our friends from Art Affair and Associated Artists keep rotating our walls so we recommend you come back lots to see what's new.
Now on display: Art Affair artists Connie Winters, George Thompson and Kay Hutchinson. Associated Artists: Anna Hamilton. If you want to find out about pricing, just ask your server. And if you saw something you liked and think about it the next day you can just give us a call.
3. Baby, it's cold outside
Yes, it's officially chilly outside. But it's warm inside the Diamondback. Come put your sculpted back-side up to our warm fireplace and have an Irish coffee or Russian Tea. Warm yourself from the inside out. Bring the kids for a hot chocolate topped with marshmallows galore. And yes, you can still walk in 22 degrees. Think about the Eskimos! If they can do it we can too.
4. Our big e-mail winner of the month January's winner of the month is Tom and Sue P. Tom and Sue will receive a gift certificate just for giving us their e-mail address. Now they will come in and eat a delicious dinner on the house. Head on over Tom and Sue and bring some friends!
5. Bring your laptop. Wireless internet is available and so is a nice, warm place to work.
Our bar opens at 5 pm seven days a week. Dinner begins at 5:30 pm. Come for a nice meal and get those '07 spreadsheets finished while sipping an '05 Bordeaux.
6. More vegetarian entrees and tapas- If you generally order your filet rare you can stop reading right here. However, if you want more vegetarian options, then we're proud to say we have them. Just ask your waitress about our vegetarian choices. We serve organic produce, organic milk, Ashley Farms organic chicken and more! |
