It is hard to believe it is already two months into the New Year.  How are you doing on your New Year's Resolutions?  Have you forgotten them already?  Want to get recharged?  Come to one of our cooking classes.  We are here to encourage you and to get you excited about a healthier lifestyle.  Remember, healthy living is simple!

Check out our new porcelain on steel multi pots, the Calypso 4 in One Cook Pot. Great colors, white on the inside with black graduation markings for easy reading.  Comes with a plastic lid for storage.  These pots are so handy for all kinds of jobs - melting butter, heating water or soup, making gravy - you name it - I use mine everyday for something!

Great gift idea!  You might want one or two for yourself!

Great New Book

 

"Mommy and Me Gluten Free" by Sharon Feskanin

 

Inspired to develop gluten free recipes for her son, Sharon as come up with some of the best tasting allergy free goodies I have ever eaten.  Great little book with stories to go with each recipe.

 

*Sharon has discovered "milling" since writing this book and now uses freshly milled flour for the packaged flour recommended in her recipes.  She says the difference is "truly amazing".

Many customers have said they are overwhelmed with the amount of information presented at the Getting Started class, and can not always come to the Beyond Bread class.  SO, we set aside one class to focus on "How To ...Make Bread", a hands on class for a limited number of people to see up close how easy it is to make bread.

Our goal is to keep the demonstration short and simple so that there will be enough time to answer any questions about the specifics.

Not just a vegetable class!  Come learn fun and new ways to use fruit and vegetables, and a wonderful new business "Natures Garden Delivered".  They deliver organic (and some locally grown) fruits and vegetables right to our store in Woodstock.  Recipes and ideas will include using a stove top smoker, pressure cookers, and dehydrators.

Author and teacher Sharon Feskanin will be sharing her nutritional knowledge and cooking tips for allergy free baking.  Sharon is a lively and engaging teacher who is passionate about helping parents and kids learn to eat healthy, even on a food restrictive diet.

This class is specifically geared for kids and will have some class participation.

Class is limited to 20 adults with one child, age 7 or older.

We will introduce you to the world of milling your own grains and making all your own breads.  We will start from "scratch" and discuss all the necessary baking ingredients and types of wheat and equipment needed to make this lifestyle change not only possible but doable!

We will demonstrate milling flour, mixing quick breads, kneading bread dough, either by hand or machine, shaping the dough, making quick cereals, and even tortillas.

And best of all - you get to taste everything we make!!  We will demonstrate the Wonder Mill, NutriMill, Bosch Kitchen Machine, the Kitchen Assistant, Zojirushi Bread Machine, Tribest Personal Blender, and the ChefPro Tortilla press.

Lots of information presenting the endless possibilities of baking with whole grains.
