Great New Products from the Bread Beckers

Cold and flu season is now here.  For those of us who have chosen a more healthy lifestyle, colds and flu may come less often.  Yet for those times when we do get sick, many of us would prefer a more natural approach to boosting our immune system and fighting these infections.  For years we have offered two great products known as Grapefruit Seed Extract and Grapefruit Seed Extract Capsules Plus.  We are pleased to announce the addition of some other great first aid, as well as body care, products by Nutribiotics using Grapefruit Seed Extract as the base ingredient.  We hope you will like these additions as much as we do!

Original Favorite:
Grapefruit Seed Extract Liquid Concentrate (GSE) - Available in 2 oz., 4 oz. and 32 oz. bottles.   This multi-purpose extract contains CITRACIDAL, a natural compound synthesized from the seed and pulp of certified organically grown grapefruit.  The process converts the bioflavonoids into an extremely potent compound that has been proven effective in numerous applications.  GSE is antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral making it useful to help fight many types of infections and conditions.  Studies have also shown that GSE is more effective than even chlorine for disinfecting meat cutting boards and equipment.  I not only use mine for fighting infections but also keep my bottle next to my kitchen sink.  I rub just a couple of drops into my wet hands after handling meat to disinfect my hands.  I also apply a few drops to my cutting board and scrub after cutting meat (particularly chicken).  During times of sickness of any kind (cold, flu, sore throat, stomach flu etc) we use 10 drops in a small amount of juice (or water) 3-4 times a day.  The taste is quite bitter so juice works better for us.  For our family the fresh squeezed juice of one orange works very well. GSE is very effective against yeast infections and can be used to get rid of inflamed diaper rash (usually these are yeast related).  Just add about 20 drops to 8 oz jar of water and mix well.  Keep jar by the changing table and apply with a cotton ball to clean bottom after each diaper change.  Usually improves in 1 day!!  Never apply undiluted Grapefruit Seed Extract to dry skin.  This is a staple first aid item.  Concentrated and will last a long time, this is truly one of those products that has so many varied applications; you just need to have it on hand!!

Grapefruit Seed Extract Capsules Plus -  The taste of the GSE can sometimes make it inconvenient to use.  These high potency capsules contain 125 mg of Citracidal (equivalent to 12-15 drops of GSE), as well as the added benefits of th herbs echinacea and artemesia.  Echinacia is an antiseptic herb that has been shown to immediately stimulate an immune response.  It is best used at the onset of symptoms.

NEW PRODUCTS WITH GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT

Defense Plus Tablets - One of the most powerful products available for enhancing the body's defense system and providing nutritional support for people with certain health concerns.  Each tablet containes the equivalent of 25 drops of Nutribiotic GSE liquid concentrate along with Vitamin C, astragalus, Echinacea, reishi, mitake, and shitake mushroom extracts, ginger root, goldenseal root, and yarrow. All of the ingredients in DefensePlus were chosen for their ability to enhance and compliment the effect of GSE. Echinacea, Golden Seal Root, Astragalas, Zinc, and the Mushroom Extracts all aid in boosting the immune system. The Meta-C enhances the effectiveness of the active ingredient in the mushroom extracts by aiding in absorption.  The best time to take DefensePlus is when you feel you might be coming down with a "bug", or if you feel your immune system has been compromised. It is not an everyday supplement.

First Aid Skin and Wound Spray - Contains 1% Grapefruit Seed Extract provides a natural alternative to preparations such as Bactine. Its gentle mist application means you don't have to touch the wound to disinfect it, which is helpful when dealing with small children or squeamish adults. Skin Spray also is an excellent after-shave product as it helps the skin to feel refreshed and cooled while protecting against potential infection from ingrown hairs or small cuts and abrasions. It also may be used as an athlete's foot treatment after washing and drying the feet. We know that some people even use it as a throat spray, although we don't intend the product to be used in that manner. It would be safe to do so, and the Skin & Wound Spray would be an effective germ killer, but it would probably taste pretty bad.  Why not try the throat spray for that!!

Throat Spray - Contains 0.75% solution of Grapefruit Seed Extract combined with zinc, slippery elm, and aloe vera, to promote healthy conditions in the mouth and throat.  Peppermint oil is added as an aromatic and for flavor.
NutriBiotic Throat Spray has incorporated Grapefruit Seed Extract as an immune booster. Grapefruit Seed Extract and Zinc make a great combination that work harmoniously together to suppress foreign invaders and strengthen the immune system. Slippery elm and aloe vera promotes healing of the skin.  Additionally, because the ingredients are natural, NutriBiotic Throat Spray provides a great alternative to the alcohol based throat sprays that are offered over-the-counter.

Super Shower Gel - Contains grapefruit seed extract.  Moisturizing cleanser for the whole body including your hair!  Non-irritating and non-drying formulas.  Comes in Fragrance Free, Fresh Fruit, or Vanilla Chai scent.   Great alternative to deodorant soap or shower gel.  Fabulous!!!

Deodorant Stick - Grapefruit seed extract's antibacterial properties gives odor protection, in a base of witch hazel and aloe vera.  Provides long lasting protection.  Available in Unscented, Mango Melon, and Lavender.  An all natural deodorant that really works!!!!  I put it to the test in a sweat- producing, hour long, dance class!!  It works!

Ear Drops - Contains 0.1 % grapefruit seed extract in a base of tea tree oil and vegetable glycerin.  Infection fighting, healing, soothing formula.  Ideal for adults and children.   Available in 1 oz with dropper tube.

First Aid Kit - Great for travel or to have on hand in case of emergency.  Kit contains 1 Traveler's Friend (a 0.3 fl oz size of liquid GSE), 1 Defense Plus 45 Tablets, 1 Ear Drops 1 fl oz., 1 Skin Ointment 0.5 oz, 1 Wound Spray 2 fl oz, 12 Natural Aspirin 500mg tablets, 10 Bandage strips 1x3 in

Chlorella - NutriBiotic CGF Chlorella is aqua-cultivated to be the cleanest and purest microalgae product available. This ancient single-celled super green plant is grown under the strictest, controlled conditions without the use of herbicides, pesticides, or toxic chemicals.  CGF Chlorella's tough protective cell wall is broken by special low temperature processing, making over 90% of the vital nutrients easily digested and bioavailable. CGF Chlorella is one of nature's best food sources for critical nucleic acids (RNA/DNA) and chlorophyll. This microalgae also provides a full range of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.  Studies show that chlorella is an affective heavy metal detoxifier, energizing, and alkalizing.  Great balanced food supplement.
