Products
Lecithin Is Back
A few months back, we quit selling the lecithin (soy based) we carried for years, because of concerns many folks had about soy based products. We replaced it with the Rice Bran Extract, based on the great results the bakery had with it.
Well, we got a lot of requests to bring lecithin back, especially by the customers who also used it on top of cereals, etc. Seems the strong concentrated aroma of Rice Bran Extract just did not work on top of foods, even though when properly measured and used in bread dough it will make a softer dough (without the strong odor of the concentrated product).
It's in stock now in 1 lb. baggie, 5 lb. pail, or 29.5 lb. bucket.
Item# 00046 - 1 lb. Baggie - $6.86 Item# 00246 - 5 lb. Pail - $38.00 Item# 04775 - 29.5 lb. Bucket $134.96
Fresh Wave Products - I actually
discovered this line of products at a housewares show a few years ago. I am very sensitive to odors and chemicals so
I was delighted to find this line of all natural odor eliminators!
Non-toxic and non-irritating,
Fresh Wave products neutralizes
odors without relying on harmful chemicals. Instead, the products are made up
of natural ingredients, so they're safe to use around people and pets. Based on technology that has been used in the
commercial industry for years, the Fresh Wave molecules are released into the
air then attract the odor molecules and literally neutralizes them.
Most air freshener merely
mask the odors with harsh chemicals, toxic fragrances and unknown fillers. Ditch the aerosol can and chemical fragrances
and experience the unmatched odor-eliminating power of Fresh Wave.
No matter where you find
troublesome odors - your kitchen, bathroom, basement, garage or even boat or RV
- you can find a Fresh Wave solution. This odor neutralizing technology comes in
a variety of forms.
Fresh Wave 8 oz Soy Candle - Traditional scented candles
only mask household odors, but Fresh Wave candles actually neutralize
unpleasant smells! Use them in the kitchen to remove lingering food odors or in
the bathroom to freshen the air.
Holidays often bring lots
of guest in our homes. Unpleasant odors
left over from fried foods, fish, burned foods, spills, etc. are not very
welcoming to visitors or residents for that matter. Soy candles can be burned while preparing
food to help eliminate these strong offensive odors and again later for about
15 minutes to freshen the air completely. (some odors of course are not
offensive - like freshly baked bread!) These soy candles travel well, so can
easily be used in motel rooms where odors can often be worrisome.
00963 - Fresh Wave Soy Candle 8oz. - $13.95
Fresh Wave Spray adds a little
freshness wherever you need it! Fresh Wave Spray is the go-anywhere odor
neutralizer. Spritz to remove
troublesome smells in any of room of your house, your car, boat, or RV, even on
fabrics.*
Again, I am very
sensitive to odors. Unfortunately my
hair seems to pick up odors very easily - from cigarette smoke and other odors in
public places as well as perfumes and fragrances. These chemical smells can actually make me
sick at times. Since the Fresh Wave
sprays are totally non- toxic, they can be sprayed right on the clothes you are
wearing, as well as your hair and even in your face. I really put this product to the test once,
when some one who wears lots of perfume gave me a big hug. Later, I started getting a headache as the
smell was all in my hair and on my clothes.
I sprayed the Fresh Wave Spray on my hair and my clothes around my face
and with in a few minutes there was no more smell and no more headache!!!
Fresh Wave spray is
available in two sizes. Carry the 2 oz. Travel
Spray in your purse, briefcase, gym bag, suitcase or car. Keep the 8 oz. Home
Spray in your cupboard for household use.
00960 - Fresh Wave 2oz Travel Spray - $3.95 00961 - Fresh Wave 8oz, Spray - $9.95
*Before
spraying, check fabric for colorfastness by testing a small, inconspicuous
area.
Fresh Wave Odor Neutralizing Crystals Gel - Simply open the jar and place
anywhere throughout the house for continuous air freshening action, 24/7. It's really that simple.
The 16 oz. jar is also perfect
near a cat litter box, in the bathroom or tucked in the corner of a gym
locker. Its odor neutralizing power
lasts for 30 to 90 days. The gel
disintegrates and can easily be refilled with the 64 oz. jar - with 4 refills
in the container, it's a great value!
00962 - Fresh Wave Cont.
Release Crystal Gel 16 oz. Jar - $14.95
00967 - Fresh Wave Super
Gel Refill - 64 oz - $49.95
Fresh Wave Pearl Packs are perfect for active lifestyles. They easily combat odors in gym or sports
bags, lockers, shoes, even athletic equipment. Just drop one in wherever you need a boost of
freshness and that distinctive sweat smell magically disappears.
Each jar contains 5
packs. One sachet will keep things odor free for approximately 25 days. 00964 - Fresh Wave Pearl Packs (Jar of 5) - $15.95
Fresh Wave All Purpose Cleaning Additive
- Following hundreds of requests Fresh Wave has introduced an All Purpose Cleaning Additive. Its
applications are endless - you're only limited by your imagination!
This liquid formula attracts
captures and neutralizes odors, leaving behind a natural, fresh smell. Use it
in the laundry, wipe out your refrigerator, pour a few ounces into a carpet
steamer, add it to your pet's shampoo, or rinse out the cat's litter box after
cleaning. Ever had gasoline, smoke, or
paint odors in work clothes, only to wash them and the whole load of laundry
now smells like gasoline, smoke or paint.
Fresh Wave Cleaning Additive
can be added to the wash to neutralize these offensive odors. It is also effective against mildew odors.
Fresh Wave Cleaning Additive is available in a 32 oz. bottle.
While you'll be amazed at its odor-fighting abilities, it should be used as a
complement, rather than replacement, to soaps and detergents. Carefully follow
directions on bottle for optimal use.
00968 - Fresh Wave All Purpose Cleaning Additive 32oz. - $19.95

Recipes
Cooler fall weather always
inspires me to try new recipes and I am always looking for faster, more
efficient ways to get good food on the table.
Our new Fissler pressure cookers with the cooking inserts has
transformed mealtime at my house. It's a
whole new cooking experience to cook an entire meal in one pot!!!
Meatloaf with Cheddar
Smashed Potatoes cooked all in one pot from the Pressure Perfect cookbook by
Lorna Sass was a big hit and ready to serve in less than 30 minutes!!!
Meatloaf:
- Cooking spray or oil, for preparing the steaming basket
- 2 Large Eggs
-
1 1/2 lb. Ground Beef (or ground chuck)\
- 1 cup Finely Chopped Onions
-
1/2 cup Finely Chopped Flat-Leaf Parsley
- 3/4 cup Rolled Oats
- 1/2 cup Catsup or Chili Sauce plus 1-2 Tbs. to coat the meatloaf
- 1 tsp. Salt **
- 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder **
- Pepper
**Or you may use 1 tsp.
Garlic Salt in place of powder and regular salt.
Cheddar-Smashed Potatoes:
-
3 lbs. Potatoes, scrubbed, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1 1/2 loosely packed cups Shredded Cheese
- 1/2 cup Milk, plus more to taste
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Optional - Steamed Carrots
(to make this a 1 pot meal)-
Carrots - Wrap in foil and place on top of meat loaf prior to cooking.
Coat
the bottom and sides of the steaming basket lightly with the cooking spray.
Beat
the eggs in a large bowl. Add the ground meat, onions, parsley, oats, catsup,
salt, garlic, and pepper to taste. Mix with your hands until blended. Transfer
to the steaming basket and press into a disc of uniform thickness. Spread a
very thin coating of catsup on top.
Pour
2 cups water into a 6 qt. or larger pressure cooker. Place the potatoes in the
water. Set the steaming basket on top of the potatoes.
Meatloaf
w/ Cheddar-Smashed Potatoes
Lock
the lid in place. Over high heat bring to high pressure. Reduce the heat just
enough to maintain high pressure and cook for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat.
Quick-release the pressure. Remove the lid.
Test
for doneness: an instant-read thermometer inserted into the middle of the
meatloaf should read at least 155 degrees Fahrenheit. If the meatloaf requires
more cooking, remove
the potatoes, set the meatloaf on a trivet to raise it above the water, and
steam it over high heat for another few minutes. When the meatloaf is done, let
it rest in the basket
for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
Meanwhile,
prepare the Cheddar-Smashed Potatoes: Drain the potatoes and return them to the
empty cooker. Set over very low heat and add the cheese and milk. Use a masher
to coarsely smash the potatoes. For a moister mixture, stir in additional milk.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
To
serve, either unmold the meatloaf or slice it right in the basket. Serve the
cheddar-Smashed Potatoes alongside.

Real Bread Outreach News
In September 2007 I started a non profit ministry, Real Bread Outreach, to reach out to the poor, needy and elderly. The Lord put a burden in my heart to extend the scope of my teaching to those who could not afford to buy a mill or were not physically able to make the bread for themselves. Those of you who know me know that I am passionate about the health benefits of freshly milled grains, and now I want to share this bread with those who cannot get real bread for themselves. Real Bread Outreach desires to come along side those who are struggling physically and financially.
Real Bread Outreach operates solely on contributions. We have several immediate needs that I would like to share with you. More details can be found at Real Bread Outreach's Opportunity page:
- The Wears Valley Ranch home for kids in Sevierville, TN
- A local pastor with $4000+ of medical bills
- An elderly lady trying to improve her health
- Thanksgiving dinner supplies for shut-ins & elderly
- General ministry needs, printing costs, and continuing education expenses
If you feel so led by the Lord, could you give a tax deductible contribution to Real Bread Outreach to help meet these needs? If so make your checks payable to:
Real Bread Outreach 561 Dogwood Hills Lane Canton, GA 30115
If you would like to give to a specific need earmark it as indicated. If no earmark, all donations will go towards meeting the needs as they arise. Real Bread Outreach pays no salaries at this time, so all donations go to meeting the needs of the ministry.
Thank you for any donation large or small. Know that it is greatly appreciated by all who benefit from your generosity. Sincerely, Sue Becker
Real Bread Outreach is a 501c3 non profit ministry. All donations are tax deductible. To learn more about Real Bread Outreach go to www.realbreadoutreach.com
