"If you have it [Love], you don't need to have anything else, and if you don't have it, it doesn't matter much what else you have."
-- Sir James M. Barrie

You can't help but notice them. They're everywhere: the Internet, TV, stores and restaurants are full of enticing Valentine's Day "specials" offering an endless array of gifts, greeting cards and gourmet foods to help you express love to your loved ones. That's nice, but... I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you that the ultimate gift of love is YOU. Yes, you! Not because of what you do, or buy, or try to give - but just by Being who you truly are: Divine Love made manifest in the form of your uniquely human experience. Won't you invest the next few moments in resting from the ongoing tasks of your life, and just take a few slow, deep breaths. Yes, right now. Just feel Love flowing to you, through you, as you, from you... there's nothing you need to do to make this happen... it's simply a matter of becoming aware of who you really are: Eternal Love alive in you. Really receive this awareness with each inhale... then send it forth into the world with each exhale... Take your time... I hope you'll consider creating and/or sending out your own unique gift(s) of Love - perhaps a phone call or a hug to a loved one, or an extra warm smile to a stranger. A blossom or a sprig of rosemary from your garden; a favorite poem or sacred text that you read to a friend. Or simply spending these few quiet moments feeling the Love moving through you. Whether you give it to yourself or pass it on to others, your Love is a priceless gift. "Store bought" presents are all well and good, and I'm certainly not arguing against them... But I'm fairly certain that the gift of your love is the most precious of all. So give and receive it freely! In any case, please know that your love and support have made a big difference in my life and in the Celebration Circle - and I am truly grateful. Here's wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day - and hoping you can join us in the Circle this coming Sunday as we celebrate Love together, Big Time!
