"In the Koran (the sacred book of Islam), God takes Moses to the Red Sea, where he sees a little sparrow dive down for a mouthful of water.  'You see how much water is in the sea?' asks God.   'That is how much knowledge there is.  And the water the sparrow drinks?  That is how much humans know.' "
from The Beggar King and the Secret of Happiness by Joel ben Izzy

I've been fortunate to meet many powerful teachers, mentors and artists over the years.  People who helped me understand just how little I knew, and how much there was to learn - and unlearn - along the spiritual path.  Who enabled me to explore and experience the Sacred in ways I probably never would have on my own. A few of these individuals live nearby; others are scattered far and wide; but all of them are woven into the rich tapestry that is my ongoing spiritual journey.

One of the things I love most about working with the Celebration Circle is being able to share many of these wonderfully wise and loving mentors, friends and fellow artists with you.  To be able to bring them to San Antonio, and have them share their gifts with us in person, rather than merely learning from their books, websites or recordings.  One such teacher is my good friend, Michael Wolf, who is returning to the Circle this Sunday to lead an extended, guided meditation accompanied by his singing crystal bowls. I'm really looking forward to co-creating another experiential, process-oriented morning with him - because he's got such a gentle-but-forceful way of raising the vibration of the whole room when he's presenting.

As a matter of fact, he and I love working together so much that we'll be co-facilitating the Circle's Fall Retreat at Slumber Falls Camp, the weekend of November 7-9.  In addition to the great food, fun and fellowship we always enjoy at these retreats, we'll have the opportunity to spend several sessions creating and meditating on our sacred intentions with Michael and his magical bowls.  I invite you to mark your calendar now, and plan to join us for these two relaxing and empowering experiences - both the retreat in November, and this coming Sunday in the Circle.  You'll be glad you did!
