WRC is partnering with the Groupon G-Team from September 13th through the 15th to raise funds for our Making Change Program.  

Groupon, through their website and mobile phone app, features a daily deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in 43 countries.  Groupon grew out of a website called The Point, that lets you start a campaign asking people to give money or do something as a group - but only once a "tipping point" of people agree to participate. Action is delayed until enough people come together to have a real impact.

This is the crux of the G-Team Campaign.  Groupon partners with nonprofits to raise funds, but the nonprofit only gets a check if enough Groupon members agree to donate.  Otherwise, the funds go back to the donors.  Clearly, we need your help!  Please sign up for Groupon now and look out for our reminders to make your $10 donation starting on September 13th. Women's Resource Center has another big thank-you to extend this summer to Freihofer Transport!

When women and their children move out of our safehouse into their own apartments, they almost always need furniture.  Our amazing volunteer Laura Feuer coordinates between furniture donors and the women to get them what they need, but even Laura needs help with the move.  That's where Lindsey Freihofer comes in.  Lindsey is the owner of Freihofer Transport and he helps WRC store donated furniture, pick it up from donors, and deliver it to former safehouse residents' homes.  Please consider using Freihofer Transport for all your moving needs.
