Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and, unfortunately, domestic violence and sexual assault often go hand-in-hand. Women's Resource Center was asked to send a staff member to CNN's Headline News last week to discuss rape myths, specifically that women can sometimes be to blame for their assault, that false reports are common, and that rape is simply about sex.

For the rest of the month, we'll be continuing the discussion on our blog. We'll explore those myths in further detail and possibly look at some others. Make sure to check back often. |

Looking Forward
2011 marks WRC's 25th year of serving women and children impacted by domestic violence, and we hope before another quarter-century passes that we can close our doors for good. If you could imagine a future without domestic violence, what would that look like for you? Share your answer with us on Facebook, or tweet it.
