Achieving Local Justice WRC has established the Clarence Seeliger Local Justice Award in honor of the DeKalb County Superior Court Judge.
Judge Seeliger has been active in the anti-domestic violence community for over two decades and serves as a member of the DeKalb Domestic Violence Task Force that founded Women's Resource Center in 1986. He is also a Board Member and former Chair of the Georgia Commission on Family Violence. The Award will honor those in the Atlanta community who have helped a survivor of domestic violence achieve social, economic, or legal justice. The inaugural award will be presented to Joy White, Mike Wise, and Bill Hoffman, of the firm King & Spalding, for their pro bono work helping a survivor of domestic violence and human trafficking receive asylum in the United States. Judge Seeliger will personally present the award at WRC's annual Champions for Change Luncheon. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit "events" on our website. |
