Holiday Gratitude
Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence has been blessed this year with some fantastic friends and partners in our work.  We would like to take a moment to thank a few of them.

The Atlanta Miniature Society has sponsored a miniatures auction to benefit Women's Resource Center for over a decade.  They raise thousands of dollars for our work each year, and introduce scores of new friends to our Center.

For the past 14 years, the Evans Woods Drive and Northbrook Drive neighborhoods, led by the Coole Family, have placed luminaries on the curb of every house in the neighborhood on Christmas Eve to raise funds and awareness about family violence and safety.

Finally, in 2008, volunteer Pam Graham logged as many hours as several members of our part-time staff, garnering in-kind donations, organizing our emergency food pantry, staffing our weekly legal clinic, transporting women, and keeping our office space looking great. She has become an invaluable part of the WRC family.

We would also like to thank each of you for reading our e-newsletter and blog and for keeping our agency and the women who turn to us in your thoughts and prayers throughout the year.  May you have a happy and peaceful holiday season.
Extra Support
The holidays can be stressful for everyone, but staying physically and emotionally safe during holiday events can be especially difficult for those in abusive relationships.  Women's Resource Center operates a 24-hour hotline (which will be in operation on all holidays) that you or someone you know can call if you need to plan for your safety, ask questions about services or your legal options, or just talk to someone confidentially about your feelings and what you are experiencing at home.  We also offer two free, confidential support groups each week at our Decatur office where women come to receive support from other women like them.  You can get more information about our support groups by calling our hotline at (404) 688-9436.
