With Domestic Violence Awareness Month approaching in October, WRC would like to take a moment to thank you for being a friend to our organization.  Domestic violence cannot be brought to an end by one indvidual or organization.  Instead, it takes an entire community of like-minded individuals refusing to tolerate violence in action or in speech.  As one survivor said in our production of Snapshots, "You can snap a twig in half all by itself, but a bundle of twigs is as strong as a tree trunk."

Vigil Update

Candle and NamePlease join us at 7pm on October 18, 2007 for Portraits of Courage, our 16th Annual Candlelight Vigil. The program will include several monologues adapted from WRC's original production Snapshots, which tells the true stories of survivors who sought services with our Center, and a performance of the production's original song. Also performing is the world-famous dance, percussion, and vocal group Giwayen Mata. The focal point of the evening is the incredibly moving candelighting ceremony commemorating those in Georgia who have lost their lives to domestic violence.

Where Giving is Sharing
