April 10th is fast approaching and this luncheon
promises to be the most impacting and empowering
yet. You will leave with a true admiration for the
strength and resilience of women, and our honoree
will inspire you to take a stand against the violence
you see in your lives. Funds raised from ticket sales
and auction items will be used to provide options to
abuse survivors as they build violence-free lives for
themselves and their children. Items for auction
include vacation packages, airline tickets,
autographed memorabilia, jewelry, spa services,
event tickets, home decor, and more.
Tickets are still available for $100 each by calling 404-
370-7670 or by visiting our website.

Pamela Burgess didn't want to answer the hotline,
she didn't want to lead a support group, and she didn't
want to accompany women to court. She did,
however, have a talent, and a desire to make a
difference. She began opening her salon,
Professional Touch, once each week to the residents
of our safe house. She and another stylist, Spencine
Newell, provide no-cost cuts and styles to four women
every week. The impact has been
tremendous. "They look different, they feel different,
and it helps them forget for a moment what brought
them to the house," says Vickie Heller, Transition
Advocate. Pamela and Spencine, you are truly a cut
above the rest!
