| Rear Auxiliary A/C Issues? |
| By Marc Ellison
According to Ford QVM # 195, Yes You CAN!
The latest product from InterMotive, that interfaces with the Ford CAN bus, is the CAN Vehicle Controller (CVC). Designed for the 2011 F-Super Duty, the CVC controls the front OEM air conditioning clutch/compressor when the vehicle (typically an ambulance or bus) has a rear auxiliary a/c system which relies on the front OEM a/c system. As an additional benefit, the CVC can be ordered with a high idle function, thus providing two solutions in one small module. The CVC meets the requirements of Ford's QVM Bulletin Q195 and is available for immediate shipping. For more information give InterMotive a call at 800-969-6080.

| Eco-Star Makes a Difference |
By Dick Collier
Your customers are missing out on some good opeational cost savings!
That's what you get when you include an Eco-Star anti-idle device with your bus package.
We have been testing Eco-Star on six buses for over a year to see what kind of savings can be realized with Eco-Star. Frankly, I don't know why most transit operators would not put this on their next bus buy. Using Eco-Star, on the average, saves approximately 125 gallons of fuel per bus each year. At $3.05/gal of fuel, that is about $380.00/year savings in operational cost. If that isn't important than maybe saving the 2,340 lbs of CO2 from the atmosphere each year is. Either way you look at it, it is a great product for these green times.
