What's New
 By Ed Prokopik

As of the 2011 model year, all Ford Econoline and F-Series vehicles now use a two track Accelerator Pedal Position sensor (APP).  Previous models used a three track sensor. Our Speed Sentinel vehicle speed limiter product line easily installs into the three track sensor with plug and play male and female OEM connectors.  For the two track sensor, only the female OEM connector is available.  A male OEM connector did not exist.  In collaboration with a California based injection molding company, InterMotive has designed and manufactured this male connector.  All six terminals are gold plated for reliability and corrosion resistance.
Speed Sentinel P
All Speed Sentinel systems are now completely Plug and Play with the OEM harness.  This ensures a robust and easy installation.

InterMotive specializes in custom harness manufacturing and now custom connectors.  If there is a harness or connection solution you need, don't hesitate to call us to discuss your specifications.
Rear Auxiliary A/C Issues?
By Marc Ellison

Marc EllisonAccording to Ford QVM # 195, Yes You CAN!

The latest product from InterMotive, that interfaces with the Ford CAN bus, is the CAN Vehicle Controller (CVC).  Designed for the 2011 F-Super Duty, the CVC controls the front OEM air conditioning clutch/compressor when the vehicle (typically an ambulance or bus) has a rear auxiliary a/c system which relies on the front OEM a/c system.  As an additional benefit, the CVC can be ordered with a high idle function, thus providing two solutions in one small module.

The CVC meets the requirements of Ford's QVM Bulletin Q195 and is available for immediate shipping.

Eco-Star Makes a Difference
By Dick Collier
Dick CollierYour customers are missing out on some good opeational cost savings!

That's what you get when you include an Eco-Star anti-idle device with your bus package.

We have been testing Eco-Star on six buses for over a year to see what kind of savings can be realized with Eco-Star. Frankly, I don't know why most transit operators would not put this on their next bus buy. Using Eco-Star, on the average, saves approximately 125 gallons of fuel per bus each year. At $3.05/gal of fuel, that is about $380.00/year savings in operational cost. If that isn't important than maybe saving the 2,340 lbs of CO2 from the atmosphere each year is. Either way you look at it, it is a great product for these green times.

Call us if you would like to try one.

InterMotive's email newsletter was created to provide our customers with an additional resourse for information on both our products as well as our company. Please let me know if there is more we can do to assist you.
