Gateway Key Feature

Gateway Input/Output =
more capabilities for the end user

Very few people realize that since 2004 the Gateway (fast idle / interlock system) has had the ability to improve your bus' safety and fuel economy. That's right; it is much more than the other after-market or chassis OEM solutions.  Here are just a couple of features that agencies around the country have been enjoying for years that you may have been missing out on.

These are tangible features the bus OEM can create for the fleet users at a reasonable price.

Below are some facts about our products

  • The Intermotive high idle system is the only high idle system from the chassis OEM or after-market that does not require Park Brake to be set to activate high idle.  Think about it...if you are using a fast idle other than InterMotive's Gateway or AFIS, the agency or fleet will not get the benefits of high idle unless the Park Brake is set...and how often does that happen?

  • The new Gateway module can now be customized by the bus OEM.  Ask your dealer or OEM about the outstanding features they can now program in to your bus to enhance your safety, productivity, and/or fuel economy - e.g. road speed warning, powertrain overheating warning, etc...

  • When you need a low frills, low cost fast idle and lift interlock system to win that low margin bid, InterMotive has the solution.  Ask your dealer or OEM about HighLock.  Nothing is cheap about it EXCEPT the price!

  • InterMotive is going to sell 110" red seat belts for 2011 F-Super Duty as a part of our ship-thru arrangement with Manning Equipment.  If your fire truck, ambulance, or work truck customer wants red seat belts for their new vehicle, we can do it.

InterMotive is moving to a newer and larger facility this month.  The transition will start on 7/15 and be complete by 8/1.  We will be closed on 7/30 and re-open in our new location on 8/2

The LED display is a great diagnostic tool.

A couple of times a week we will receive a call concerning a system where the lift intermittently stops working. By the time the tech calls InterMotive, the lift may be operating properly again.. This is where the LED display becomes a very useful tool. The drivers of the vehicles should be educated on the proper operation of the LED panel when operating the lift. When the lift stops working, are all of the LEDs still illuminated?

The most common Gateway issue is the Lift power and Lift door LEDs are not illuminated.

Expansion Plans

We are very proud to announce that we are moving the entire business into a larger, more modern and improved facility starting in mid-July.  We plan to be completely moved by mid-August.  The new building will help us continue to grow and expand into new markets while maintaining our own high standards for customer service to our valued existing clients.

Speaking of expansion, the demise of the GMT-560 chassis has lead to a lot of new medium-duty chassis being included in our customers' line-ups.    Read on.....

InterMotive's email newsletter was created to provide our customers with an additional resourse for information on both our products as well as our company. Please let me know if there is more we can do to assist you.
