InterMotive, is pleased to welcome Chad Brown as the newest member of InterMotive's technical support team.
 
Chad comes to us with 24 years of automotive, fleet and commercial experience in parts and service. He has been a technician, Service Advisor, Service Manager and Parts & Service Director for Ford, Dodge, Volvo and Nissan. The last 4 years he has been in construction working with heavy equipment and large trucks.
 
Chad is looking forward to giving your business and staff excellent customer service by providing the technical information and help you may need.

Troubleshooting Made Easy

A very handy tool for trouble shooting problems is a VOM (Volt Ohm Meter) - also called a Multi-Meter. It can be used to test cables, AC/DC power input and outputs, and Battery output. 
  
 
 
Two types of VOMs
 

This is usually called an Analog Volt Ohm Meter, Volt Ohm Meter, or just referred to as a VOM. Up until the late 1980's this was the most common type available (and by far the least expensive until recently).

2009 was a tough yet rewarding year.  It was a hope-filled year that started with the "Audacity of Hope" and ended in "I hope we all make it to the end of the year."  The promise of increased spending on public transportation and public works projects from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) didn't seem to materialize as much as everyone "hoped."  Unemployment is the highest it's been since 1940 and we're hearing that it won't get much better very soon.  It could make one a bit cranky or cynical (or both).
