Warranty Returns and Purchases The InterMotive warranty replacement policy has been updated over the course of the last few months. In the past, we have shipped out "advance replacement" units for those having issues in the field. While this expedites getting a new part to the end user, we've found that the majority of parts returned to us as "defective" were in fact working as designed. There may have been loose connections, poor grounds, etc. that may have been corrected after the new part has been installed or even a misunderstanding of a specific function. This can lead to a longer time that the vehicle is out of service while waiting for a unit to arrive that is not needed.

Message From InterMotive's President |
Getting on with it Let's face it... the "Stimulus Package" (aka: the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) has not yet made a significant impact in the bus or work truck markets. While many industries continue to wait for this massive infusion of government money, our industry has been anything but idle. The American automotive industry has been struggling with bankruptcies/reorganizations and the supplier base is in full scramble mode. It is a mighty interesting time in our industry and our country to say the least

Tools for Testing Electrical Circuits
Choosing the right test equipment for testing electrical circuits on today's vehicles has become a much more complex decision than it was twenty, or even ten years ago. Too often technicians make the decision of which tool to use based on whatever tool they are most comfortable using, or even the tool that was easiest to get to in their toolbox. When we are talking about testing basic electrical circuits (wiring and connections) on modern vehicles, the decision of which tool to use should be based upon the characteristics of the circuit being tested.
