What's New at InterMotive..
  By Ed Prokopik

InterMotive would like to welcome Bill Dahl as our new Technical Specialist.
 Ford Cut-away
Bill is one of the voices you get when you call InterMotive Technical Support.  Bill was born and raised in rural Minnesota, and has always enjoyed the outdoors. His free time is spent hiking around the foothills of California with his wife Nan and dog Pepper, restoring Nan's 67 Mercury Cougar (Original Owner), and working on their wonderful home here in Colfax. Bill was a BMW Master Technician and spent 20 years working for three BMW dealers in the San Francisco Bay area. He enjoys speaking with technicians from all over the country and the challenges of helping them troubleshoot InterMotive systems. Bill has proven to be a valuable addition to the InterMotive Team.

Order Delivery Performance
By Marc Ellison, VP Marketing & Sales

"On-time" Shipping is a priority to us.

Marc EllisonAs part of our ISO 9001:2000 requirements, we track numerous performance measurements. One of those key metrics is our Order Delivery Performance.

Year-to-date we have shipped 98.94% of our new product orders on time, per the customer's due date. Obviously, longer lead times and blanket orders help us manage our production schedule and meet the due dates, but we also know that sometimes you only have a day or two before you need a part in hand.

With the significant changes Ford made to the 2009 Econoline chassis now upon us, lead times become even more critical. Please contact Kyndra Moran, Dick Collier, or myself regarding any questions you may have about ordering product for 2009 chassis. By working together we can get you what you need, when you need it.

Note: over 99% of our service part orders ship within 24 hours.

2009 Model Year - New Part Numbers

New P/N's for 09

 Ford Cut-away
Because of changes to the 2009 Ford Econoline electronics, several of our products had to be changed and new part numbers created.

Several part numbers for past model Ford applications will not work on 2009 model year Ford vehicles.

Please contact us if you have a question about the correct part number for the vehicle you are working on.

From the Customer Service Desk....

Ford Cut-away
Customer Service is available from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, to assist with technical support, warranty concerns, or general questions. We can be reached at 530-346-1801.

Product diagnostics and instructions are available on our website. Diagnostics should be run while the part is still on the vehicle to verify if it is a component failure or failure for some other reason. This can be done before calling InterMotive. If help is needed to do this, please don't hesitate to call an InterMotive service technician.

If an advance replacement part is requested without running diagnostics, and the part is working properly when tested at InterMotive, the part will be returned, and the part shipped in advance will need to be purchased. If the customer does not want the returned part back, a 25% restock fee will be charged.

Message From the President

Year in Retrospect

2008. What a year it was. With an ongoing war, a financial meltdown, a momentous presidential election and an economy in chaos, a person could easily give in to anxious feelings. Who knows if we've seen the worse? These are "unstable" times to say the least.
However, there is another way of looking at things.

InterMotive's email newsletter was created to provide our customers with an additional resourse for information on both our products as well as our company. Please let me know if there is more we can do to assist you.

Sincerely,

Dick Collier
