TexasOutside.com Newsletter
Time To Get Outside!

This may be one of our shortest ever newsletters - we primarily wanted to let you know that Texas Outside is alive and well and to alert you to some fun upcoming music festivals that you need to add to your calendar as well as provide some ideas on a few other things that you ought to consider for a fun adventure, golf outing, family vacation, or romantic getaway this summer.

The cold weather is gone, the sun is shining, the temperatures are mild, and the wind has died down - it's time to turn off the TV, break out the outdoor gear, and hit the road.  Have fun.

California or Bust
One of the reasons that this will be a relatively short newsletter is because we just returned from a 60 day trip to and from California. What a blast - we:  played 24 golf courses most of which were rated a 9 or better!; stayed in some outstanding RV parks as well as five 4 star golf resorts; got stranded in El Paso with record cold temperatures (-9) and snow ; stayed with long lost friends in San Diego, Tucson, San Jose, and Capitola; had some fantastic adventures off roading, biking, riding dune buggies, and hiking; visited several interesting attractions and museums; and ate and drank too much.  The California or bust part just about came true - at six miles per gallon and diesel fuel at $4.59 in California, we just about went bust!  Now  we are rapidly trying to catch up on documenting the trip, some of which has been added to the What's New Page.
