EVANGELISM - Your primary mission

"Not until we burn with a passion which is almost a pain, to reach people with the gospel, will they be likely to take the matter seriously." Michael Green
(When God Builds A Church, p. 249)

We have no greater mission than to care for people enough to tell them the truth of Christ's love.  As you think about your primary mission of evangelism today, begin to pray sincerely and passionately for God to give you a desire to speak to them about and with the love of Christ.  When you do, you'll have to love them, care for them, and give them the best news they will ever receive; Jesus Christ died for their sin so they don't have to!  The news is great and people are hungry so what do you do with the greatest gift you'll ever have to give?

The Bible says there is no other way but Jesus:

"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 (ESV)

Knowing this to be true, let God speak to your heart today and convince you that you must be active in sharing this salvation news to others.

Getting to know you:

What's the greatest news you've received recently?

When you think of the words, "missionary" or "evangelism", what do you think of?

Read it:

   Matthew 28:19,20

Get it:

1.  Since Jesus has all authority, what does that tell you about being able to trust Him?

2.  What does it mean to make disciples?

3.  What's your job in the process of making disciples?

Go:

Who has God placed on your heart that you need to be praying for?  Would you commit to be sensitive to God's leadership as He gives you an audience with them this week and maybe a chance to share the "reason for the hope you have in you?" (1 Peter 3:15)
